ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS SUPREME SOCIETY

CONSTITUTION

ARTICLE I NAME
The name of the organization is Academic Achievers Supreme Society.

ARTICLE II PURPOSE
The purpose of the organization shall be:
a. to acknowledge students who excelled in class and got the average not lower than 1.75;
b. through the acknowledgement of the students, the school can prove that it could provide a
quality education:
c. to show the parents what the achievers have attained;
d. to motivate the students to study and work harder; and
e. to share each other’s achievement.

ARTICLE III MEMBERSHIP


1. Membership in the organization shall be open to those who are enrolled at Nueva Ecija
University of Science and Technology and who have credited subjects with 15 units and above,
grades not lower than 2 and a general average not lower than 1.75.
2. This organization will not have associated members who are non-students or who do not meet
the criteria.
3. Eligibility for membership or appointed or elected student officer positions in the campus
recognized chapter or group may not be limited on the basis of race, sex, color, age, religion,
origin, marital sex, orientation, and physical or medical condition.

ARTICLE IV OFFICERS & DUTIES


1. The officers of this organization shall be: President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant
Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, Public Information Officer (PIO), Business Manager, Sergeant at
Arms, Muse and Escort.
2. To be an eligible officer, candidates must be regularly enrolled at Nueva Ecija University of
Science and Technology – San Isidro Campus.
3. The term of every officer shall be for one semester and shall begin from August to December/
January to May.
4. Elections shall occur every semester by voting or appointment.

ARTICLE V FUNDING
1. The organization shall be funded through the following means:
a. Registration fee
2. All money transactions must be approved by: Treasurer, Auditor, President and Advisers.

ARTICLE VI MEETINGS
1. Regular meetings shall be held 4-6 times every semester.
2. Agendas for meetings shall be prepared by the President/Vice President

ARTICLE VII POWERS


1. The organization shall have the following standing committees:
a. Clarish L. Calceta
b. John Patrick A. Garces
c. Princess Cynel P. Padre
d. Rosavilma Mejia

2. The organization shall operate as a non-profit association and no profits may accrue to any
individual within the organization.
3. Unless otherwise provided in these bylaws, decisions of the organization shall be made
majority of those present and voting, with those abstaining from the vote not figuring into the
determination of the majority required.
4. For purposes of any vote, the determination of the current eligible voting membership shall be

ARTICLE VIII AMENDMENT OF BYLAWS


These bylaws may be amended at any regular meeting of the organization by a two-thirds vote,
provided that the amendment has been submitted in writing at the previous regular meeting.
