Welcome to UWC Online: Building a Sustainable Future!
We are so excited to meet you in just over a week to begin
our journey into how we can create a sustainable world
together. This course is brought to you by a team of
people from all over the world to spread the mission of
United World Colleges (UWC): to make education a force
to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a
sustainable future.
We will mostly be using two Apps throughout the course.
One of them is Zoom and the other one is Mighty Networks.

Running from 22nd June to 26th July, the content of the course will be broken down into 5 weeks with different focuses: first, an
introduction week, followed by a zoom into environmental, economic and social sustainability, and finally a focus on project
management to give you all the skills to implement the knowledge you’ve gained! You will also be working in small groups on a
project of your choice, guided by one of our wonderful facilitators.

To help us deliver this course, we will be using a platform called Mighty Networks to give you the best experience we can. This
will be accompanied by guest speaker lectures, interactive workshops and offline tasks. You will need a stable internet
connection and access to Zoom. We have guest speakers, including from War on Want, Greenpeace and the Ellen MacArthur
foundation, along with a team of passionate facilitators who will be delivering approximately 6 hours of content per week. There
will also be optional activities to get to know each other a little better!

During the course you will be in “Umbrella groups” with two facilitators and a small group of participants:
this is where you can direct questions, bond and have small discussions.
