The leader of the warriors
Agbon went to meet his Babaláwo when he was about lead his contingent to war. Babaláwo asked him
to offer sacrifice so that all his potent charms will not fail him at the heat of the war. Agbon, being a
renowned warrior has plenty of charms of various capacities which can deliver him from the hottest
wars. Agbon laughed when he heard about the call for sacrifice to forestall the failure of the charms. He
boasted about the assurance that he has on his charms and that there is nothing that can negate their
effectiveness. Agbon did not offer the sacrifice. Soon after this, Agbon led his team to war. He was
surprised that as against the previous wars where everything was within his capacity, he was being
conquered and all his accolades were being killed. At the end, Agbon himself was captured and songs
broke out from people who witnessed it. They sang
Ogun sagbon yakata
Ogun pa Agbon si Ikoyi Ile

The war has conquered Agbon
The war has killed Agbon in Ikoyi

Ifá advises this person to offer sacrifice. Ifá sees someone who will make a trip to a faraway place where
the person will make another abode. Ifá says the sacrifice is to allow this person live long and be
established to reap the fruits of his labor. And also for bad news not to truncate his stay preventing him
from getting all the good things he deserved.

When he was traveling to a faraway place
He was asked to offer sacrifice
Sikunowinni was warned to offer sacrifice before traveling to the destination he planned. At first, he
neglected the warning. But along the way, news came to Sinkunowinni that there is carnage in his house
and he would need to return. Immediately, he remembered the warning of the Babaláwo about this trip.
He returned home and went for the sacrifice. It was not until after this that he was able to travel and he
got plenty of wealth in the place faraway. He was dancing and rejoicing; he said it is as his Babaláwo
said;
