A WEEK BELOW ANNAPURNA

(GHOREPANI TREK)
(10 days)
A soft adventure trek in Nepal's middle hills, with the awesome backdrop of the
Annapurna Range – 10 days
This trek is well suited for the beginners or for those who have limited time but still want
a real Himalayan experience. The trek starts from Phedi after a short drive from
Pokhara, the trail passes through rhododendron forest and fascinating traditional
Gurung villages at Dhampus & Ghandrung; a nice opportunity to witness the culture and
tradition of Nepalese countryside. Along the way, there are spectacular views of the
snowy peaks of the Annapurnas, capped off by the unforgettable mountain panorama
from Poon Hill.
An easy trek which takes you up to an elevation of 2775 meter at Ghorepani can also
be combined as an extension trip to cultural tours of Kathmandu & Pokhara. The trip
can be done throughout the year except during monsoon [July & August].

"We got to know about Explore Himalaya while browsing the travel sites on the internet.
We had a very nice welcome with floral garland and a nice car. Our trek was excellent,
well set-up, good acclimatization programme. Guide and porter were both exceptional -
top marks to both! Quality of food & hotels was good, surpassed our expectations. Food
was always well prepared and hygienic (supervised by guide always).Good service in
lodges, all made an extra special effort to provide good service which was nice to know.
Our itinerary was very good and excellent, never too much or too little. We had plenty of
time to acclimatize. So we always felt good and safe. Overall we had an amazing time,
made by your exceptional staff who looked after us all the way."

"Overall very good trip… We have had a wonderful time in Nepal. The service of the
staff was very good. The meals were okay, but we would perhaps have preferred to
have some more Nepali style food rather than western style. The transportation was
very good clean and safe."

ANNAPURNA GHOREPANI TREK
"The meeting and handling was very prompt and professional. Our trek guide, Lama
Babu was very good. Would recommend him to friends in future. He was very patient
and answered all our questions. Our itinerary was quite good, although our guide
reversed it so that we went to Ulleri first. It was a good decision. But the description of
the length of hiking was a bit short. We had an excellent and a very memorable trip. But
we would suggest you to include the cost of Pokhara sightseeing tour in overall cost."
