Dear: Mr. Rui Retagi

I write this letter in order to clarify the issue raised lately regarding the existence of the non-quoted screed
as detailed below:

This was verified after we had started with execution of works specifically the removal of the
waterproofing material onto the CCR building where by the screed is damaged.
According to the scope we have, the planned activities were to remove the existing waterproofing
membrane onto the CCR roof and replace it with a new membrane.
After removing the membrane we found that the existing screed is damaged and has to be removed and
replaced with another but, this was not quoted or even planned for this current PO.
This will have negative and positive impacts on the project as mentioned bellow:

Negative Impacts
• Will have effects on the time of finishing the project
• Will increase coasts
• Will require more workers and machinery
• Will also need to change the method statement

Positive Impacts
• Better quality on the final work
• Long lasting of new screed and effective waterproofing
• Good sealing and connection of membrane while torching

Although this change seems to have more negative impacts than positive, this is the only procedure which
will guarantee a better quality of the refurbishment of waterproofing and will give better finishing results.

Sincerely

MADIVER LDA
