Air Handling Unit (AHUs) Current Operation Plan

Normal Mode:
Normal Mode is the AHU operation mode in which only Return Air Damper (RAD) is open while
rest of the dampers remains closed, thus only return air is being supplied by the supply fan.

Details of current operation plan:

1) Supply Fans is ON.

2) Exhaust Fans is OFF.
3) Heat Recovery Wheel (HRW) is OFF.
4) Return Air Damper (RAD) is Open.
5) Fresh Air Non-Recovery Mode Damper (FA-NRMD) is Closed.
6) Exhaust Air Non-Recovery Mode Damper (EA-NRMD) is Closed.
7) Fresh Air Recovery Mode Modulating Damper (FA-RM) is Closed.
8) Modulation of Chilled Water PICV on basis of Return Air Temperature

Heat Recovery Mode:

Heat Recovery Mode is the AHU operation mode in which only Return Air Damper (RAD) is
open and Fresh Air Damper is open at 10% while rest of the dampers remains closed, the warm
fresh air is first mixed with the cool exhaust air by the heat recovery wheel, after which it mixes
with the return air and is then finally supplied by the Supply Fan.

Details of current operation plan:

1) Supply Fans is ON.

2) Exhaust Fans is ON.
3) Heat Recovery Wheel (HRW) is ON.
4) Return Air Damper (RAD) is Open.
5) Fresh Air Non-Recovery Mode Damper (FA-NRMD) is Closed.
6) Exhaust Air Non-Recovery Mode Damper (EA-NRMD) is Closed.
7) Fresh Air Recovery Mode Modulating Damper (FA-RM) is Open at 10%.
8) Modulation of Chilled Water PICV on basis of Return Air Temperature
