Impacts of Global Warming

Global warming is a slow and steady rise of temperature in earth surface .It is
already having significant and costly effects on our economy, environment and
health. There are huge range of negative sides of global warming .For example,
more frequent and extreme heat, rising sea levels, wildfire strong stroms,
outbreak of diseases, heavier flood, disruption to food supplies are the most
common negative impact. This essay will focus on the impacts of global
warming on environment, human life and wildlife.

Global warming already having a huge range of negative effects on

environment. As a result the world temperature rising day by day .Drought
and heat waves everywhere are projected to become more intense and cold
waves less intense everywhere. Hurricane associated stroms intensity and
rainfall rates are projected to increase as the climate continues to warm .The
sea level and sea temperature are also rising due to global warming. It also
causes reduction of soil moisture and originate acid rain.

Moreover the wildlife is hugely affected by global warming. Fall of

ecosystem, habitual disruption, species becoming extinct, changes in animal
migration are some of them. It is a threat for biodiversity. Scientists say the
effects of global warming threaten to send hundreds of animal species into
extinction. A 2003 study in the journal nature conclude that 80 percent of
some 1500 wildlife species sampled are already showing signs of stress from
climate change.

On the other hand, the effects of global warming include effects on

human life. It changes the metabolism, cause diseases and increase the rate of
undernourished. It also causes human displacement and increase the rate of
death. It can be seen from figure that the impact of global warming is not
favorable for human life.

It shows that more than 35 million people affected by flood, 821 million
undernourished partly due to drought. A huge number of internal
displacement happened. More than 1600 deaths associated with heatwaves
and wildfire. In addition, ocean acidification is ongoing and decrease in global
ocean oxygen continues.

In conclusion, the impact of global warming is a major concern. As the

essay has shown, it affects badly the environment, human life and wildlife. So
the government and organizations should come forward and take necessary
steps to make our earth more beautiful and healthy for living.
