ODU ASN FLANGES

1 ODU ASN WITH STANDARD LOCK AND FAST LOCK

FLANGE

Purpose of this document is to explain how changing the flange mounted on a ASN ODU in order to mount
a different one.

1.1 ASN ODU AND AVAILABLE FLANGES

The ASN ODU can mount two different kind of flange:

• Standard Lock flange, SIAE code Z20451 (parts A in Fig.1)

• Fast Lock flange, SIAE code Z20662 (part B in see Fig.2)

Both flanges are mounted on ASN ODU using four M6 screws, SIAE code M06614 (part C in Fig.1 and Fig.2).

1.2 TOOLS

The tool necessary for flange mounting is a 10mm spanner, the coupling torque is 9.25 Nm.

 1.3 MOUNTING A FLANGE ON THE ASN ODU

1.3.1 Standard Lock flange

As in Fig.1, align the flange A with the four holes on the ODU near the waveguide flange.

Insert the four M6 screws C and tighten them

1.3.2 Fast Lock flange

As in Fig.2, align the flange B with the four holes on the ODU near the waveguide flange.

Insert the four M6 screws C and tighten them

1.4 CHANGING THE FLANGE ON ASN ODU

1.4.1 From Standard Lock flange to Fast Lock flange

Unscrews the four screws that secure the Standard Lock flange to the ODU and proceed as in paragraph
1.3.2 Fast Lock flange.

1.4.2 From Fast Lock flange to Standard Lock flange

Unscrews the four screws that secure the Fast Lock flange to the ODU and proceed as in 1.3.1 Standard
Lock flange
