Part I- Situation

The Misamis Oriental National High School, Balingasag, Misamis Oriental is a great

competitor in sports not only in Balingasag district but also in the province of Misamis

Oriental particularly in District meet, Unit meet, Provincial meet, Regional meet, and Inter-

Secondary Basketball and Volleyball league sponsored by Local government unit of

Balingasag as well. In fact, in 1994 – 2011 the school sent the athletes to district meet with

the maximum number, from that number 80% has been brought to Unit meet, 50% played in

provincial meet, and 10% played in Regional meet. In Inter- Secondary league that was

sponsored by Local Government Unit (LGU) since 1994 the school always in the top of the

standing. In fact, 6 consecutive championships won in Volleyball women and 4 consecutive

championships in basketball men. In fact, some of the coaches received the best coach of the

league.

In 2012 that was the beginning of the great disappointment of the part of the

coacheand the players because in 118 players sent in district meet only 20% played in Unit

meet, 2% played in Provincial meet, 0% in Regional meet. In Inter-Secondary league the

school is no longer in the top of the standing but sometimes in the bottom. In fact, the recent

municipal meet last September 7, 2017 the school sent 90 athletes but only 9 has been played

in Unit meet and

researchers investigate the factors that can affect the sudden declination of the performance

playing as a team. The researcher discussed the new rule in playing basketball.

female they are all playing basketball.

 For research ethics, the researcher has to secure first consents from the

parents of the respondents before the conduct of the study. He also plans to secure

permission from the principal’s office before undergoing such study.

The researcher gathered data through observation and by the use of

checklist. He compared the gathered data for analysis.

C. Data Analysis

For analysis of the data, the researcher will use a tabulation method because

he believes that it is easy to interpret compare to the other method.
