When you hear the name Las Vegas, Nevada, you immediately think of the bright city lights

at night, the
gambling, the casinos, the fun and entertainment in the urban lifestyle. What you do not know is that
there is also another side of Las Vegas that you should go whenever you come and visit the city. One of
these sites that you should not miss is Sunset Park.

Sunset Park is the perfect place for you and for the family if you want to break away from the fast
hustles of the city life. The Park is loaded with the greens of nature for you to enjoy. It sometimes has
events that you could even participate or shows that you can watch.

The Park started in 1909 when the area was bought little by little. Before, it was only a place where they
bred and trained racehorses. It was only on 1967 when the Clark County decided to purchase these
properties and turn it to what is now known as the Sunset Park.

One of the best things about the park is that it is just nearby the McCarran International Airport.
Relatively, it is the perfect site if you are waiting for someone to pick you up from the airport, or
whether you are just waiting for your flight.

In the Park, you will also spot the Sunset Park Pond which is home to different species of fish and
waterfowl. The Pond spans to about 5,700 sq. m and is around 10 to 12 feet deep.

You can try different activities in the park such as fishing; you can also try to play some sports because
there are courts available for basketball, volleyball, and the like. You can also have your good old picnics
in the park as there is enough space for people to have their picnics and enjoy their walking trails.

Sunset Park is definitely a breath of fresh air in Las Vegas, Nevada. You should not miss it.
