RVP is short term for Reid Vapor Pressure. RVP is using to ensure vapor pressure of
volatile fluid products such as crude oil and gasoline. This method usually used fpr
determination of vapor of pipeline transportation or any activities involves to measure
products in psi or psig unit. Vapor actually is important to vechicles engine because to
generate the engine, it requires pressure especially in carburated engine. For example,
vaporization process will begin because of winter and steam pressure constraints are
important as they relate to the functions and processes of gasoline-powered vehicles
such as carburetor vehicles. A high degree of vaporization is required for the
beginning of winter and a lower level is needed to avoid vapor locks during the
summer heat. Fuel cannot be pumped if there is steam on the combustion channel
when summer and the onset of winter will be more difficult if the low viscosity of the
fuel in the combustion chamber has not evaporated. because of this, oil mills use Reid
Vapor Pressure on a regular basis to maintain the reliability of gasoline engines.

3.1 Pump Station

ASME B31.4 prescribes requirements for the design, materials, construction, assembly,
inspection, testing, operation, and maintenance of liquid pipeline systems between production
fields or facilities, tank farms, above- or belowground storage facilities, natural gas
processing plants, refineries, pump stations, ammonia plants, terminals (marine, rail, and
truck), and other delivery and receiving points, as well as pipelines transporting liquids within

 pump stations, tank farms, and terminals associated with liquid pipeline systems.  This Code
also prescribes requirements for the design, materials, construction, assembly, inspection,
testing, operation, and maintenance of piping transporting aqueous slurries of nonhazardous
materials such as coal, mineral ores, concentrates, and other solid materials, between a slurry
processing plant or terminal and a receiving plant or terminal.

3.2 Compressor Station

ASME B31.8 covers gas transmission and distribution piping systems, including gas
pipelines, gas compressor stations, gas metering and regulation stations, gas mains, and
service lines up to the outlet of the customer’s meter set assembly. It includes gas
transmission and gathering pipelines, including appurtenances that are installed offshore for
the purpose of transporting gas from production facilities to onshore locations; gas storage
equipment of the closed pipe type that is fabricated or forged from pipe or fabricated from
pipe and fittings; and gas storage lines.

"compressor and pumping station" means a facility for the movement of a fluid by means of
compression and pumping of the fluid and that has a total oxides of nitrogen emission rate of
greater than 16 kilograms per hour;
