JOB PURPOSE: To define, develop, implement and maintain the integration of the order management processes and
systems that support worldwide Caterpillar-branded engine strategies and business requirements. Manage the Engine
Order Management Process (EOMP) and Corporate Engine Order Processing Systems and Processes (CEOPS), the
Orders, Demand and Pricing Operation Groups and the EDI systems supporting all Engine Market Industries (Truck,
Electric Power, Petroleum, Marine, Industrial and Rail) and Defense & Federal Products.

JOB DUTIES: Reporting directly to this position are R/3 Business Process Analysts, CRM Supervisor, Order Support
Supervisor, SOx Compliance Analyst, Pricing Process and System Development Analyst and Pricing Supervisor.

This is a key leadership position within Commercial Process Department supporting order management with strategic
development of business requirements and development direction to support engine growth. Responsible for
establishing the order management business processes and setting the standards for all aspects of quotation,
ordering, delivery and invoicing for all Cat Branded engine order management worldwide. Leads strategic development
projects and manages the EOMP enhancement portfolio in alignment with the Demand and Orders Council and their
core Caterpillar Production System (CPS) processes, Mach 1 and Global Finance Transformation (GFT) for engines
worldwide.

Manages the customer relationship management (CRM) and order management process and system for all engine
market industries from all Caterpillar Dealers, Dealer OEMs and Truck OEMs enabling their configuring, quoting and
ordering of engines to passing the engine demand to all worldwide engine facilities including Mossville, Greenville,
Lafayette, Griffin, Larne, Sabre, Gosselies, Piracicaba, Tainjin, CIPL and Wuxi. Manages the EOMP processes and
system for shipping and invoicing all engines from these same facilities. Insures all order transactions, including
pricing, are accurate and complete and we meet 100% of our SOx requirements and control point execution for
Revenue Recognition.

The position manages a work unit of management/professional employees where monitoring and reviewing work of
subordinates is required as well as training, developing and mentoring. The position is responsible for all personnel
issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.

Typical internal customers include various contacts in the engine portion of Caterpillar worldwide operations. External
contacts include all worldwide Caterpillar Dealers, various customers and vendors throughout worldwide markets. The
position is challenged to carefully evaluate problems and issues and direct the SAP business analysts and technical
teams to review a large number of possible solutions before recommending one option to the EOMP project
management office. Problems are complex and can require the incumbent to develop multiple solutions. The
incumbent sets priorities and establishes a multiple year work plan in order to complete broadly defined assignments
and achieve desired results. Impacts all Corporate Strategic Goals of People, Process and Profitable Growth and
several Critical Success Factors including People, Quality, Velocity and Cost. Key metrics include Customer
Satisfaction (Dealer personnel and internal Caterpillar users), SOx compliance, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness,
Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, ISO 9000 Certification, etc. The position monitors and reports on
key measures for the measure(s) stated.

The position is required to travel frequently; up to a full week a month.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: The position requires thorough knowledge of company products, product applications
or merchandising programs. An understanding of Dealer and Caterpillar order management and engine facility
manufacturing resource planning (MRP) systems is required. The position typically requires a college or university
degree or equivalent experience. In addition, six to eight years of progressively responsible job-related experience
particularly in order management is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with
sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
