Project L.E.A.R.N.

(Learner’s Enhancement Activities in Reading Needs)

“No subject of study is more important than reading . . . all other

intellectual powers depend on it” Schmoker (2006).

Reading is essential. It is a skill that should not be taught once but

continuously. Also, reading is a tool that can help a learner widen his/her

knowledge. It gives every learner an opportunity to explore, imagine and even

create many things. That’s why, our school launched a project called Project

L.E.A.R.N (Learner’s Enhancement Activities in Reading Needs) Project

L.E.A.R.N aims to develop and enhance the reading skill of the students that are

identified as struggling readers. Furthermore, it aims to increase the

performance of the students in other learning areas.
