a. How did the political developments in Spain affect the colonial affairs in the
Philippines.
As the Flilipinos gradually understand, they are more willed to fight. Filipinos like this
became a stimulus for Rizal to continue writing.

b. What were the predominant economic activities that the Philippines was engaged in
during the 19th century? What was the impact of the opening of the Suez Canal?
The export economy is very dominant before just as the Suez Canal was opened, the
export economy became Philipines’ mode of economy before.

c. Determine the social life in the Philippines during the 19th century.
Philippines during the 19th Century is colonized by Spanish and handled greatly bi them
in the different aspect of life. Education, Health, and religion. Filipinos are prisoners of
their own country. During this time, movements to destroy the colonizers increased .
