REPORT ABOUT THE SPORTS CENTRE

The objectives of this report are to provide an overview of participation in sports
activities at the center, indicating the factors that discourage people from
participating in sports and making recommendations on how greater participation
in sport can be achieved.

Current situation
The most valued in this sports center is the variety of programs and activities that
benefit the body and mind.
The public are generally satisfied with existing facilities, although a number of
people consider the leisure centre in need of refurbishment. A great part of the
facilities are becoming increasingly run-down; for example, the paddle courts and
the swimming pool. Even some members think that the membership is so
expensive. Moreover, some described the poor quality in changing rooms as an off-
putting factor.
In addition to this, the main problem right now is that some of our members,
specially the older ones, are joining different clubs in the area because it offers
them flexible situations, prices and schedules adapted to the money they want to
spend.

Recommendations
In my opinion, promoting sport in those who do not currently practice should be a
priority. I recommend organizing an advertising campaign about the activities in
the center to keep fit. Furthermore, it would be interesting to announce new rates
adapting the prices to ages, work situations and time slots.
However, we must not forget the improvement of facilities that are currently
considered poor. Only in this way will those who already do some sports activities
be encouraged to do more.
Conclusion

Increasing interest in your sports club can feel like a difficult task but in reality, it’s
pretty simple. Drastic changes are not needed, rather a case of utilising your
existing resources and identifying monetary incentives that will create a wider
appeal for the general public to consider your sports centre.
