Hip abductors = SUPERIOR GLUTEAL NERVE


1. Gluteus minimus
2. Gluteus medius

Hip extensors = INFERIOR GLUTEAL NERVE


1. Gluteus maximus
2. Tensor fascia lata (sup gluteal n)

Anterior compartment thigh (Hip flexor / Knee extensors) = FEMORAL


1. (Iliacus - femoral)
2. (Psoas - lumbar plexus)
3. Quadriceps femoris
4. Sartorius

Medial compartment thigh (Hip adductors / medial rotation) = OBTURATOR


1. Pectineus (femoral)
2. Adductor x 3 (ischial head of magnus - sciatic nerve)
3. Gracilis
4. Obturator externus

Anterior compartment leg (Dorsiflexion / Inversion) = DEEP FIBULAR NERVE


1. Tibialis anterior
2. Extensor hallucis
3. Extensor digitorum
4. Fibularis tertius

Lateral compartment leg (Eversion) = SUPERFICIAL FIBULAR NERVE


1. Fibularis longus
2. Fibularis brevis (bone)

Posterior compartment thigh / Hamstrings (Hip extensors + Knee flexors) = TIBIAL NERVE
1. Semitendinosus
2. Semimembranosus
3. Biceps femoris (short head = common fibular nerve)
4. Popliteus

Posterior compartment of leg / Calf (Plantar flexion) = TIBIAL NERVE


1. Gastrocnemius
2. Plantaris
3. Soleus
4. Flexor hallucis longus
5. Flexor digitorum longus
6. Tibialis posterior
