Reported statements or Reported Speech.


Esto es lo que se conoce como el reporte de oraciones en el inglés o
reporte de declaraciones, en ejemplos dominicanos mejor conocido
como el “ella me dijo”.
Como toda clase en el inglés es trabajada bajo la misma gramática,
debes saber que te encontraras con todos los tiempos verbales, así como
el presente simple el continuos etc…
He aquí varios ejemplos en inglés de lo que estamos hablando:

Examples:

1- Present continuous changes to Past continuous

Ex: I´m living in London / He said he was living in London.

2- Present Simple changes to Past Simple

Ex: I like ice cream / she said she liked ice cream.

3- Past Continuous changes to Past Perfect Continuous

Ex: I was walking along the street / He said he had been walking along the street.

4- Present Perfect changes to Past Perfect.

Ex: I haven´t seen David / She said She hadn´t seen David.

5- Will changes to Would

Ex: I will see you later / He said he would see you later.

6- Can changes to Could

Ex: I can speak French / She said She could speak French.

Note: Some tenses and verbs don’t change.

7- Past perfect stays with Past Perfect

Ex: I had taken English lessons before / She said She had taken English lessons before

8- Could stays Could

Ex: I could swim when I was four / He said He could swim when he was four.

9- Would stays would


10- Should stays Should
11- Might stays Might

Nota:
Estos son varios links para practicar los diferentes tiempos gramaticales de
los Reported Speech espero sean de mucho beneficio, para mejor
entendimiento de los ejercicios a según los vaya realizando puede ir
fijándose en las explicaciones anteriores para saber cómo organizar cada
estructura y el uso de los pronombres, por ejemplo: She said…. Or He
said…
Esto puede ser opcional usted puede usar el que quiera siempre y cuando
mantenga la idea correcta, no hay problema.
