GF tubular centrifuge separators are for separation which mainly used for separating all kinds of emulsion which is very difficult to be separated in separation industry,
especially suitable for the liquid-liquid separation to the mixture with two liquid phases which have every small gravity difference between the two liquid phases, and
suitable for liquid-liquid-solid separation to the liquid with one heavy liquid phase, one light liquid phases and fine solids, such as the liquid mixture with oil, water and solid.
The main applications of GF tubular centrifuge separators are for oil separation, such as vegetable oil, fruit oil, animal oil, mineral oil separation and animal bloods
separation.
GQ tubular centrifuge separators are for liquid solid clarification which mainly used for clarifying all kinds of liquid mixture which content very fine solid particles, such as
coffee, tea, yeast, starch and etc..
The separator parts which contact with the materials are made of stainless steel. The machine body is iron casted which could be covered with stainless steel or coated with
paintings according to the requirement of the customer.
It is a high-speed centrifuge with strong separating capacity. The liquid mixture is fed through the feeding pipe in the bottom of the separator, the bowl of the centrifuge is
driven by the motor via spindle and rotates around its axis at a very high speed and forms a strong centrifugal force and this centrifugal force separates the liquid mixture

into lighter liquid, heavier liquid and and solid according to their different gravities. The lighter liquid and the heavier liquid are drain out from their respective liquid outlets
on the top of the separator, in the meantime, the solids are deposited on the bowl's wall. When the accumulated solids full of the separator bowl, there will be no liquids
drain out from the liquid outlets, the separator shall be stopped to remove the solid from the bowl manually.
The working principle of GQ is same as GF, the only difference between the GQ and GF separator is GQ tubular centrifuge separator only has one outlet for draining out one
liquid phase.

Important notice:
The separator is delivered without complete assembly to avoid spindle damage caused by vibration during shipment. The bowl is not connected with the bearing assembly
and the drag assembly. Take out the protection cloth from the cover assembly and the protection rubber plate from the bottom of the bowl before assembly the separator.
Disassemble the bowl from the machine to make machine alignment.
The foundation for the separator installation shall be prepared as per the foundation drawing (drawing 6) before separator installation to ensure the safety operation.
The foundation should be kept in flat level. The gravity center of of the separator should be coincides with the gravity center of the foundation. The positioning plate and
line fall supplied together with the separator shall be used for center alignment. Make adjustment to ensure both the upper hole and bottom hole of the machine body to
be in the vertical line when installing the separator on the foundation.
5.2.1 Connect the separator to an air switch in accordance with the wiring diagram on the motor termination box. The position of the air switch shall be visible and easy to

5.2.2 Check the voltage of the local power supply to see whether it is same as the technical data of motor nameplate.
5.2.3 Check the rotating direction. The rotating direction of the bowl should be in clockwise when view from the top to the ground.

When install the belt, the pulley should be turned about 180° in the direction of the arrow. If the new belt can’t run in the middle of the pulley, the upper and lower bolts
fixed on the motor shall be adjusted.
6.1.1 The machine can get the most ideal separation result and can operating for a long time when the impurities or the solids contained in the liquid is less than 5%. It is
better to clarify the liquids first if the solids percentage is over 5%.
6.1.2 Feeding methods: Tank at position higher than 1.2m from the foundation level can be used for material feeding. The feeding shall be controlled via a hand operated
valve equipped on the material feeding pipe. If the viscosity of the liquid is high, pump can be used for feeding.
The pressure for feeding liquid materials into the bowl of the centrifuge through the nozzle shall be determined according to the property of the materials to be separated.
The materials shall be sprayed up to the level which must be higher than the half of the bowl height. If the pressure is too low, part of the liquid could not be sprayed into
the bowl and will flow out from the overflow port of the drag assembly at the bottom of the separator. If the pressure is too high, it could affect the separation result and

6.2 Proportion adjustment of the light liquid and heavy liquid ( for GF only)
As a centrifuge for liquid-liquid-solid separation, it is most important to adjust the proportion of light liquid and heavy liquid in the production of the GF type centrifuge. The
selection of the outer separating rings is made according to the property of the liquid mixture and the theoretical calculation result. If the outer separating rings were
a. The light liquid will be drained out from the heavy liquid outlet;
b. The heavy liquid will be drained out from the light liquid outlet.
Adjust the gap of the liquid outlet with different size of outer separating ring to control the proportion of light liquid and heavy liquid to make the separation successfully
and get the good separating result, it is important to select the right outer separating ring.
d. Assemble the bowl into position in the machine body and run the machine.
e. If the selected outer separating ring could not meet the requirement, re-select the separating ring again according to the flow proportion of the light liquid and the
heavy liquid.

i. The separating ring with big gap can increase the flow of heavy liquid.
ii. Change the separating ring with small gap can increase the flow of light liquid.
Use the separating ring of bigger size when the outlet of light liquid is mixed with heavy liquid.
6.2.2 Emphasis
The flow and stability of feeding liquids can also have an impact on the separation ratio and separation effect, so it is proposed to use a peristaltic pump to control the flow
and stability of feeding liquids. Or use the frequency converter to control the rotating speed of the centrifuge; it will reach better separation effect. When install the outer
separating ring, place the bowl on the special bracket, unscrew the pressure cap of the separating ring (left-handed screw thread) with the ring nut spanner. Install the
selected outer separating ring(ensure the position of gasket of separating ring is correct and the sealing is effective) and tighten the pressure cap by ring nut spanner.
There are three kinds of nozzles with different diameters, which are chosen depend on the separating result of the materials and the output. The small nozzle should be
used if the separating result is the best with less output, vice versa.
6.4.1 Switch on the motor power. After about 80 seconds, the bowl can reach the working speed. The starting current of the motor is generally below 40A.

6.4.2 The feeding valve can be opened after the full speed of the machine. Open the feeding value a little bit first. After the clarification liquid flows out from the outlets of
the liquid collecting pans, opening the valve to the position which the flow has been pre-determined, and clarify liquids. You’d better not stop feeding during separation.
6.4.3 Analyze whether the liquid flow is normal or not, and observe whether the clarity can meet the requirement of the clarification during operation. Stop the machine to
remove the impurities which deposited in the bowl when the liquids (light liquid and heavy liquid) flow out from the outlets begin to get turbid.
The feeding valve must be shut down first before stopping machine. Don’t turn off the machine until the liquids stop flowing into the liquid collecting pan. The method for
stopping machine: power dump and the machine will stop by itself.

7. Maintenance

7.1.1 The high speed lubricant grease should be filled into the lubricant grease cup on the drag assembly every two or three months.
7.1.2 The ball bearings in the drag assembly are self-lubricating ones, during each operation, rotate the grease cup a little bit to make the grease lubricant filled into the
