As a lyrical poem, a sonnet like Make Me the Liquid by Your Vase Contained, is
remarkable of rhyme and rhythm in particular the Shakespearian rhyme scheme. What is
a Shakespearian rhyme scheme and discuss why Mrs. Nina Estrada Puyat's poem is of
Shakespearian rhyme?

 Shakespearean rhyme scheme has fourteen iambic pentameter lines divided into
three quatrains and a couplet. The rhyme scheme is usually abab cdcd efef gg.
Each quatrain presents one idea. The rhymed couplet usually ties the whole
composition together by succinctly stating the main idea. Nina Estrada Puyat’s

2. Describe the overall emotional state of the speaker.

 The speaker is in love, sad and in pain. She experiences longing for something
that she had lost. A person that she loves.

3. React concisely to the poem's story.

 The poem tells us the things that we want to say to the person we love. But at the
same time, we don’t want them to comeback. When it comes to the matters of the
heart, there are things that we just can't fail to relate to. We all feel love, hate and
other sorts of emotions. My reaction, I must say that those are just memories now
but she badly wants to comeback but time is changing that’s why she must move
on. It is sad but there will always still be a happy side. It's a part of every person's
life, to experience good and bad in their relationships and not always get what
they want to have. We must know what to hold onto and what to let go of.
