Problem: Major investment company

In this case, we see that the company followed a traditional approach rather than a
comprehensive project management approach. Despite of the possible failure predictions, the
company went for its application. The management also followed a traditional methodology in
the execution period. This traditional approach caused the company not to pick the procedures
up to result in success of the project.

The company had also set a benchmark of a project agency which help them to match their
activities with the given rules, and standard. But as the human resource of the company wasn’t
at a level to benefit themselves. The benchmark would only be applicable if the company had
adopted the project management approach rather than the traditional one.

We can draw and recommend some solutions for this problem: first, the company should hire a
professional project management expert to reengineer all the activities and make correct steps
where necessary. Second, the company should provide large-scale training programs
comprising of on and off-jobs to train their employees for future projects.
