ERICH KIESOW, the parent company of our group of companies, was founded in Berlin as a
manufacturer of polishing compounds and polishing and buffing wheels/ discs in 1921.
In 1950 a large part of the company was relocated to Detmold near the Teutoburg Forest.

Since then the registered office of our management and administration as well as of development
and production of our proven polishing agents and chemical processes has been based at this
location. In Berlin we still produce polishing agent carriers and assemble and package grinding
belts of well-known manufacturers.
›› The KIESOW DR. BRINKMANN Group is
a group of companies specializing in the
development, production and sale of mechanical
and chemical processes for the treatment and
finishing of metal and plastic surfaces.
Our range comprises polishing agents,
polishing discs/wheels and polishing rings,
products for industrial cleaning (degreasing
agents), process baths for electrolytic deposition
and post-treatment systems (passivating agents /
TOP coats). Moreover, we supply phosphating
agents for pre-treatment in the powder coating
field. In addition, we are also well-known as a
trading company for basic chemicals, anodes
and accessories.
As the only system supplier we hence offer
processes from polishing to final coating (sealings).
As a result of constant checks in our laboratories
we secure the consistent quality standard of
our products and hence meet the customers’ high
requirements.
With a strong sales and service team we
additionally provide our customers with optimum
advice and support.

Degreasing

Our cleaners in liquid or salt form remove processing oils, greases, drawing
EKASIT® and agents and polishing residues.
SURFACLEAN® Application: dipping, spraying, electrolytically or in conjunction with ultrasound;
biologically degradable, no hard complexers, also phosphate or borate-free.

EKASIT® BTU Low-temperature degreasing permits a marked energy saving.

Pickling

Pickling and Accelerate the pickling process and prevent hydrogen embrittlement.

Phophating

Iron phosphating agents for the degreasing and pretreatment of steel,

SURFACOTE® Manganese phosphating agents produce anthracite to black phosphate
coatings that improve the running-in characteristics of gears and piston rings.

Passivating agents for steel, aluminium and zinc surfaces; improve the
adhesion of powder and paint coatings. The products that are free of chromium,
nickel, cobalt, molybdenum and phosphates are also used for the sealing of
phosphate coatings.
SURFASEAL®
Application: dipping and spraying.

Anti-corrosion oils: special oils emulsifiable in water increase the corrosion

protection of zinc phosphate coatings.
