 TEST DETAILS - The test will be held in the following order: Listening (30 minutes), Reading (1h) and Writing (1h). No break is given
between the three modules.

 You have been registered to take the Academic module. If you want to change your module, you must inform us in writing
at least 5 working days before the test. Note! Given we offer limited places per module, your module change will be accepted
only if there are vacant places for that particular module.
 You must bring into the examination room the same identification document (ID) as the one recorded on the application
form. In the event of changing your identification document (new ID / passport), it is your responsibility to inform us in writing by
mail (attach a scanned copy of the new document), at least 2 days before the test date. Candidates who do not bring the same
identification form will not be allowed to sit the test and the test fee will not be refunded.
 Please bring with you a pencil, a pen and an eraser. You will use a pencil for the Listening and Reading papers; for the Writing
paper only, you can use either a pen or a pencil.
 You are not allowed to take any personal belongings into the test room. Do NOT take your mobile phone or any electronic
equipment into the test room. All your belongings (including mobile phones) must be placed at the ground floor cloakroom.
You are ONLY allowed to have on your desk: your ID, a couple of pencils and/or pens, an eraser, pencil sharpener and drink in a
transparent bottle. No other items are allowed.

ABSENCE - If you cannot attend the examination please let us know, if possible, before the test day. The test fee will not normally
be refunded unless one of the following exemptions applies:

 Serious illness – e. g. hospital admission or serious injury (does not include minor illness such as a mild cold)
 Loss or bereavement – death of a close family member
 Hardship/trauma – victim of crime, victim of a traffic accident
 Military service
In this case candidates must provide appropriate documentation no later than 5 working days after the test date. More details

us know, if possible before the day of the test, if you are already certain that you are not going to come.
If the cancelation of the test is approved, an administrative fee of £30 will be charged.

 RESULTS – Results are released 13 calendar days after the test. You will receive only one copy of your Test Report Form (TRF). The
test centre will NOT issue a replacement copy in the event of loss or damage.
There are two options for you to receive the Test Report Form:

 You can collect it from the British Council, @British
building in Bucharest, Calea Dorobantilor no. 14, starting
with Friday, 28 March after 14.00.

You will need to present your ID document or if you want
someone else to collect your result you should inform us in
advance by e-mail or post.
 You can receive your result by Fan Courier (0219336), free of
charge. The certificates will be despatched on Friday, 28 March
after 14.00.

name, phone number and full address on the courier AWB,

provided by the Supervisor on the day of the test.
Please note that it is your responsibility to contact the local courier
office in case they do not find you at the address provided.

Online Results: Also, you will be able to view your results online on Friday, 28 March after 14.00 by accessing the following link
https://ielts.britishcouncil.org/Results. You will need your candidate number, ID/Passport number and date of birth, information
which will be provided on your desk label on the test date. The official results certificate (Test Report Form) service will continue as
well. The system will not display results older than 28 days.

The British Council will not disclose your result over the phone, fax or e-mail.

 ENQUIRY ON RESULTS – you may apply for an EOR procedure within 4 weeks of issue of results. For the 15 March session, the
deadline for submitting your request is 28 April 2014.

If you are dissatisfied with your results you may apply for an Enquiry on Results procedure within 4 weeks of issue of results. You can
choose to have one or more test paper/s remarked. For this, you would have to fill in a form, available at
http://www.britishcouncil.org/romania-exams-eor.pdf, and pay a fee of £60, no matter how many papers are remarked. For
more details please contact us by phone (021 3079600), e-mail or in person.
The full fee will be refunded if a result is changed to a higher band score. The remark is done in London by trained clerical markers
and Cambridge English - appointed senior examiners. In 8 weeks from your request you will receive, by e-mail, an EOR letter
stating your final result status.

EXTRA TRFs – Each candidate can request the British Council to send up to 5 other TRF forms directly to the other institutions
(academics institutions, government, professional boards, employers, etc.), free of charge.

If your result satisfies your needs and you would like us to send it to other institutions, you have to make a written request (e-
mailed, posted or faxed) after receiving the Test Report Form. You should give us as many details as possible about the addressee
(full address, contact person, phone number and file number if applicable).

Please DO NOT send your TRF to other institutions as you will not receive another copy.
