RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODOLOGY

Research Design

The study utilized the descriptive method in gathering data in determining the status of

certain practice without going to the extent of appraising the variable with the realm of the

method. This process involves the elements of analysis and interpretation of finding of what is

described.

The efficiency of the research approach was made possible through the use of

questionnaire with entrusted interviews aimed at cross-checking the contents of the research

instruments.

Research Respondents

The respondents of the study were the Junior High School and Senior High School

Students in Saint Anthony Academy to examine the stress level of the students.

Research Environment

The study was conducted in Saint Anthony Academy, Poblacion, Tayasan, Negros

Oriental.

Research Instrument

The research tool or questionnaire has six parts: PART I- Profile of the respondent,

PART II- Factor that affect the stress level of the respondents, PART III- Number of hours

spent by respondents in studying, PART IV- The influence of stress to respondents academic

life, PART V. The stress awareness at school, PART VI. Feelings when you’re stress.

Researcher Procedure

The success of this study begin with the formulation of questionnaire and the creation

of letter of approval addressed to the school principal and the Senior High adviser in Saint

Anthony Academy. The students were given clear instructions and given quality time answering

the questionnaires and were administered by the researcher to quickly respond when students

concern abuse, after which, the answered questionnaires were retrieved by the researcher for

tabulation.
