Pakistan reported 2,751 new cases of COVID-19 on 9 July 32,000
2020. The total number of cases notified since the 28,000
beginning of the outbreak is 243,599 with 5,058 deaths 24,000

Meeting & Coordination

World Health Organization Pakistan in collaboration with the


Provincial Health Department, Sindh conducted training of
health workers on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) at
district Tharparkar on Thursday 9 July 2020. Twenty-two health
professionals (Medical Officers, Staff nurses and Nutritionists)
were trained. The participants were from Nutrition Stabilization
Centers Mithi and Chachro.

During the training WHO donated PPEs to the Nutrition


Stabilization Centers Mithi and Chachro. The PPEs including
masks, gloves, Gowns and sanitizers. In addition, WHO donated
IEC Material on IPC to the stabilization centre
