Bryan Kim, MS4

Bryan is a 4th year medical student originally from Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from the
University of California, Riverside with a degree in Biology. Before medical school, Bryan served
in South Los Angeles with City Year where he taught English and Math to 9th grade students.

Atilio (Tito) Atencio, MS4 (MS4 Class Co-President)

Tito is an MS4 who grew up between Venezuela and Miami. He attended the University of
Florida from which he graduated with a degree in biochemistry and a minor in Portuguese. He
looks forward to working with you as the Vice President.

Stephanie Fagbemi

Stephanie is an MS3 from Connecticut. She studied at the University of Pennsylvania, where
she majored in biology. She has spent a year away in the middle of school (1 semester prior to
3rd year and 1 semester in the middle of 3rd year) to co-found a charity, do volunteer work,
work on a clean energy campaign, and model professionally.

Derek Harmanli

Derek Harmanli is an M2 who hails from Longmeadow, MA. He graduated Emory University’s
Goizueta Business School with a BBA in Finance and Strategy/Management Consulting with a
minor in mathematics. After a year in healthcare consulting, he completed the Harvard
University Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program to attend medical school.

Community Service Chair

Mykal Gerald

Mykal Gerald is the Executive Community Service Representative on SGA. She was born in
Trenton, NJ and lived in Georgia and New York for some time. Mykal obtained a B.S. in
Biochemistry at Villanova University in 2018. She joined the Class of 2022 at LKSOM and is
pursuing a dual degree in Urban Bioethics. She has served as the Class of 2022 Community
Service Representative in addition to serving in the Student National Medical Association. She
enjoys playing soccer with LKSOM’s team and is passionate about mitigating disparities in
healthcare.

Sudeep is an M2 from California. He went to Drexel University, where he majored in Biology.
Prior to medical school, he attended the ACMS Post Baccalaureate Program at LKSOM.

Rachel Munch​ (PA Student Representative)

Rachel is a 2nd year PA student from Tampa, Florida. She attended Florida State University
and majored in both Psychology, and Family and Child Sciences. She attended the Temple
BCMS post-baccalaureate program and completed the first two years of medical school before
deciding to make a career change to become a PA. She looks forward to fostering
collaborations between the PA and Medical Students at LKSOM.

John Pisan​ (MS4 Class Co-President)

John is a 4th year medical student from Orlando, FL. He graduated from the University of
Florida with a major in biology and a minor in philosophy. Training in the Bethlehem area with

Gena Victoria Topper​ (MS3 Class President)

Gena is a second year medical student originally from San Francisco, CA. She attended Cornell
University where she majored in Genetics & Human Development. Before coming to medical
school, she spent a year as a Trauma Registrar in Washington, DC and plans to go into General
Surgery with a focus on acute care and emergency treatment of traumatic injury.
