Sampling is the procedure that is used in the statistical analysis where a predetermined number

of data or observations are selected from huge number of data[ CITATION Tui20 \l 1033 ]. The

sampling is of different types and are used accordingly as per the use. The samples are the

representatives of overall all populations which are generalize to find the conclusion of the whole

population.

Case 1

This is the case of medical equipment aspirin. To do research is this case we can use purposive

sampling method. It is because this type of sampling is non-probability sampling which is based

on the characteristics of the overall population and aim of the study. This is also called as

judgmental, selective and subjective sampling that helps any researchers to know the quick

idea[ CITATION Hea19 \l 1033 ]. From this researcher can get the good results from lower number

of data.

Case 2

This is the case about the students in a university. If out of 2000 students only 325 samples are

taken, then they have taken stratified random sampling method for the research. It is because,

there are many class and faculties in the university like science, humanities, management etc.

where stratified random sampling method helps to involve students from every faculty which

makes the result or finding more concrete.

Case 3

In this case, where investigation of career salience of professionals from various field like

medicine, engineering, management are taken then we can use cluster random sampling method.

It is because it ensures the involvement of each field in the sample. There are professionals with
various characteristics or features like sex, age, job nature or economic class. hence, there will be

involvement of all featured group in this sampling method.

Case 4

In this case, we can use systematic random sampling method for performing the research because

out of 350 workers 184 are sampled. We can see that the number of samples used are nearly the

half of the total workers or population. Here, we can make the assumption every second worker

is selected for the survey.
