As Coco-Cola is a well known brand all over the world. It’s a beverage company which is
known for huge brand image. A value chain is the set of activities by which a company adds
value to the production, marketing, or after sales service so that the company can produce
maximum value for optimum utilisation. As company wants to meet their goal, so the
company carries out its functions as to make the products best for the market and to obtain
better results.
There are primary and secondary activities in the value chain.
PRIMARY ACTIVITIES
INBOUND LOGISTICS:
Company has very large supply chain which consists of tens of thousands of suppliers.
Suppliers are like partners to the company. Suppliers provide raw material, ingredients,
machinery and packaging as well as goods and services. They also need to comply with all
the applicable laws and regulations. Coca-Cola also focuses on environmental and workplace
ethics.
OPERATIONS:
Operations include all the administrative functions of headquarters. It operates through many
local channels. As company not controls all its bottling partners, it just manufactures and sells
syrup to the bottling operations.
OUTBOUND LOGISTICS:
Value chain also consists of its bottling partners and distributors. They manufactures,
packages, advertise, and distribute the final product. Then finally its sold to the customers.
The customers of Coco-Cola include restraunts, street vendors, convenience stores, and
grocery stores and movie thetres etc. bottling partners helps the customers to execute
localized strategies developed.

TECHNOLOGY:
Coco-Cola focuses on technology, research and development. From production to distribution
and sales and everywhere it invests. It has 6 r&d centers around the world. The company also
collaborates with partners in other industries to fuel innovation in products, packaging,
equipment and other things. It strives to grow with help of innovation.
PROCUREMENT:
Company procures raw materials from thousands of farmers and suppliers. Uses technology
to make the process easier and efficient. And works with the rules and regulations
formulated.
