I. COURSE TITLE: Art Appreciation


II. COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Art appreciation is a three- unit course that develops student ability to appreciate, analyze and critique works of art. Through
interdisciplinary and multimoda approaches, this course equips students with a broad knowledge of the practical, historical, philosophical and social
relevance of the arts in order to hone students ability to articulate their understanding of the arts. The course also develops students’ competency in
researching and curating art as well as conceptualizing, mounting, and evaluating art productions. The course aims to develop students’ genuine
appreciation for Philippine arts by providing them opportunities to explore the diversity and richness and their rootedness in Filipino culture.

COLLEGE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND EDUCATION


Mission: To prepare men and women who are competent professionals in the fields of crime prevention, law enforcement,
criminology education and research, scientific crime detection, police and correctional administration as well as
public safety and justice services.
Objectives:
1. produce competent, well equipped and licensed professionals who are leaders in the Philippine criminal justice and
private sectors;
2. prepare professionals possessing a strong concept and understanding of the value of service to God and humanity;
and respect for human dignity and rights;
3. develop highly employable professionals who are geared towards continuous character and professional
development.

COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION


Mission: To produce globally competent Christian educators ingrained with Christian values and with high regard for human
dignity, culture and the environment.
Objectives: The College of Teacher Education aims to:
1. educate and train competent and service oriented professionals of Global standards;
2. produce graduates endowed with virtues and principles;
3. develop professionals who are innovators and leaders in their field of specialization;
4. generate professionals instilled with national pride, love of country and allegiance to the institution; and
5. train professionals who are adept in scientific research and who engage in educational development initiatives.

TRADE TECHNICAL EDUCATION (TTEd)


Mission: The Department is committed to:

1. deliver technical- vocational programs which provide pertinent knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to address
occupational competencies nationally and internationally;
2. develop the students to become technical experts, professionals, and managers in the industry sector; and
3. provide training and education to upgrade the occupational skills of individuals and the industry workforce.

Objectives: The Trade Technical Education Department aims to:


1. provide every student an opportunity to receive quality education that is globally competitive based on a
pedagogically sound curriculum that is at par with international standards;
2. feed the economy with qualified employees who are competitive both in local and international labor markets to
ensure a match in the fast changing labor markets; and
3. foster appropriation of the people’s educational capacities with the new socio – economic conditions to support self
– employment and entrepreneurship.
