Lesson Plan for Grade 9

I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, 85% of the students are expected to;
a. Know the meaning of adjective by describing their selves through pairing game ;
b. Appreciating your family by describing them through making a reflection;
c. Create a short story with
II. Subject Matter: Seven Sundays
Materials: DLP, Laptop, Speaker, Piece of Paper, white board Marker
Reference: Internet, Meriam Webster Dictionary,
III. Procedure: Prayer, Checking of Attendance, Classroom Management

A1. Activity

A. Drill : ADJECTIVE RHYME SONG


B. Review: The will ask the ff. questions;
a. What was our lesson last meeting?
b. What was it all about?
c. Who can give me some examples?

Motivation: “Draw it Up!”

a. The class will be divided into two (2) groups.


b. Each group will choose their representative who knows how to draw.
c. Each group representative will be given paper strips having words for him/ her to draw.
d. The rest of the members of the group will guess the drawing of their representative.
e. Each group will be given 2 minutes to do the task.
f. The highest pointers will be declared as the winner.

D. Activity Proper: “What kind of Sibling are you?!” (Seven Sundays)

a. The teacher will play a video about the four siblings in the movie “Seven Sundays”.
b. After playing the video the teacher will ask the ff. questions.
 What kind of sibling are you?
 Who are you among the 4 siblings being presented?
A2. Analysis: The teacher will ask the following questions:

1. What have you observed from our activities?

2. What can you say about it?

3. Was it important to all of us?

A3. Abstraction

Family

 A group of people who are related to each other (common ancestry, race, clan,

fellowship and affiliation).

“Seven Sundays”?

 A movie about the Bonifacio family. It was all about the bonifacion siblings

who had their reunion after when they know that their father is sick. And so, they

should be together for seven Sundays. It also shows lots of values about the

importance of having a family.

 Manuel (Father), Allan (Oldest), Bryan (Second), Charity/Cha (Only Daughter),

Dexter/Dex (Youngest)

Comedy Drama

 A serious drama that has comic elements.

A4. Application

In a one whole sheet of paper, make a reflection about the movie Seven Sundays by
following this guide questions:

a. What can you say about the movie?


a. Can you relate to it?
b. Have you experienced such problems in your family or one of your family
members?
c. Describe the family that you have and that on the movie? Are they the same?
d. What have you learned about the movie?
b. Evaluation: “Lights Camera Action!”

a. The class will be divided into 3 groups.


b. Each group will be given strips of paper.
c. Each group will be given 3 minutes to discuss and practice their given piece
about the qualities of a family.
d. Each group will be given 2 minutes to present.

 A family who listen to each other.
 A family who forgives one another.
