a victim of misinformation, especially when researching and sharing online?

- Fake News is nothing new. In a market of uncertainties and constant changes, every decision
need based on facts, and every fake news can cause significant damage. Students must prevent
fake news from spreading around, causing even more problems. Always check the author's
credibility and do a quick detective job looking for similar or identical information on trusted
portals. Once you identified that it is fake, inform the person you shared it to avoid spreading it.

Being born in 21st Century, where gadgets and technologies are everywhere, I can tell myself
that I am tech-savvy. Owning a smartphone and new how to use different applications and
websites, learning key shortcuts in laptops, sending emails, and watching videos on Youtube tell
me that I am tech-savvy.
2. Why is it important that a future teacher is “tech-savvy”?
Being proficient in technology, especially computers, gives teachers the edge in this online
learning system and stays relevant to the profession requires technological savvy.
Simultaneously, the technology field is growing, and technology plays an integral role in what

learning materials? If not, what are your alternative tools on doing those learning materials?
- Yes, I am using a computer and smartphones for my learning materials.

Enrichment Activity:

I. Directions: On the learning plan that you have prepared in module 1, recall the necessary preparations
you did to accomplish it. Afterwards, based on what you understood about SSCC (Search, Sort, Create,

apps with other functions and services. I use Google for my daily routine in this called new-normal with
their various services Google offers includes Gmail, Google Drive, Google Translate, Google Maps,
Google +, Google Calendar, and so on. Moreover, Google acquired numerous companies that expanded
well beyond its search engine capabilities.

LESSON 4: Engaging in a Community of Learning (COL)

Getting Started:

TIME TO REFLECT!

Do you think that the culture of "copying" is a form of collaboration among students? Why or why not?
Are there any instances that "copying" can be considered righteous?

-Academic misconduct is not righteous. While it's certainly possible that students easily cheat, we help
people learn about underlying concepts in different areas of specification, especially sciences. It's
important for faculty to set academic integrity expectations because it takes away any morale of the
students. Future educators advise being very specific about instructions from their given activities to
promote academic integrity and honesty.

Application: As a future teacher how are you going to promote community of learning in your classroom
or in school? Cite two (2) scenarios. (10 points each scenario

-Promote community of learning allows differing, and possibly conflicting views, to be used to develop
new, complex, and previously unimaginable solutions and understandings. Learners and teachers are
encouraged to improve the quality of their thinking by actively seek out constructive feedback. In
addition, promoting community learn to focused on inquiry-based activities, centralized control, and
community orientation. It does so by creating an environment that fosters a sense of intellectual and
social safety, openness, and trust.
The communities for learning are increasingly being explored as more institutions offer online courses or
programs. The field and practice of Distance Education have a rich and storied history of fostering a
connection with learners at a distance, whether it is email or online. However, it is difficult for many to
imagine being part of an online learning community from the teaching experience. Utilizing that,
members of the class considered learning, each possessing varied experience perceptions and
responsibilities. The result is collaborative learning in which all parties(students and teachers) work
jointly towards solutions, and decisions are reached through social negotiation.

Enrichment Activity: Make a word cloud for COMMUNITY inside the box and explain why you have listed
those words. You may use some computer/mobile applications in making word cloud. (10 points – word
cloud, 10 points - explanation)

All these words describe what makes a community is. When talking about the idea of community, not
many people realize that community can apply the word's meaning to various organic and human-
constructed forms of organization, interact and affect each other parts. We human beings are required
resources to live and flourish; thus, we need to distribute these resources throughout the human
community. Today, we live in a world of social conflicts and segregation. This is seen in how we view
different cultures, and we are divided by arbitrary borders that are not based on our cultural differences
and mean less community but more of strangers. We must embrace social and cultural diversity through
specific methods by having a free marketplace of ideas. We allow individuals and groups to express
themselves freely, openly, and to their fullest potentials. We must design a community that encourages
social interactions to get to know and become more comfortable with other members of their
community. So we can create a social interdependence to fulfill people's needs for social interaction.
