Course Code and Title: AFRO-ASIAN LITERATURE (English 22)

Course Description:
The course deals with the study of the leading works of African and Asian writers reflecting the ethos, ideas and philosophies that aid the understanding of human nature. It will recognize
Africa, Asia, and other Asian countries as a unique continent of the world through reading literary masterpieces. This course also aids to make students appreciate his or her literary heritage
that for of his or her identity as Asian.

Course Learning Objectives:


At the end of the course, the students are able to:
CLO1: Explain how literature has become an instrument in developing the national character of the African and Asian people.
CLO2: Interpret literary works of the famous African and Asian writers.
CLO3: Criticize the structure of the Afro Asian literature.
CLO4: Identify and develop styles appropriate to varied writing situations
CLO5: Apply knowledge gained to real life situation.
