Learning new languages

Nowadays people are becoming more supportive of other countries and their language and
culture and are more curious to try new things. Learning a new language is a very common
hobby especially among the younger generation.
On one hand, people have started learning foreign languages in order to be helpful for
travelling to other countries. This way it is easier to communicate with the locals and learn about
their culture, or just simple things like asking for direction that can really make a difference when
you're in a completely unknown country.
On the other hand, especially teenagers start learning at least one foreign language for the
purpose of making use of it in future jobs or at university. Many teenagers take in consideration
studying and even moving abroad and that is the main reason for wanting to learn another
language. Also many well-paying jobs require knowing/ fluency in one or more foreign
languages.
Above all, learning more than one language can be very helpful in the development of the
brain, particularly if the studies of a foreign language are started from a young age. There are a
lot of studies which show that people who know a foreign language have developed some
special skills and abilities that the ones who speak only a language don't have.
In conclusion, knowing one or more foreign languages is one aspect that can bring a lot of
unique opportunities in the lives of the younger generation.
