Pedagogy Planning

Complete this sentence by naming the technology tool and the creation activity:

In this activity, my students are going to use Adobe Spark (slideshow (video) template) to create a
dialogue in French between them and a peer (written and oral) with images that relate to the
conversation.
Pedagogy

Activity
This lesson would be at the end of a unit to
solidify the vocabulary, sentence structures,
and verb conjugations learned. This would
likely take at least two class periods as the
teacher needs to look over the initial
dialogues to make sure that they are
acceptable before the students start creating.
The students can also invite their partner to
collaborate on the project (there is an invite

Mobile App Option 1. Adobe Spark does have a mobile app. It would appear
that users on Apple products can currently create video
on iPhones and iPads; however, I was not able to access
the video feature on my Android device.
In Google Play, it is called “Adobe Spark Post: Graphic
Design & Story Templates” Just putting in “Adobe Spark”
lead me here. It is a free app (premium offers more
features that are not necessary).
2. If the student cannot access Adobe Spark on their mobile
device, they can use Voice Thread instead. It is a free app
found in the Google Play store. This app allows them to
upload a photo or video (they can take their own or find
non copy righted images online) to each slide, then they
can add a voice comment on it. They can also draw on the
slide or add the text in a comment. It is more similar to
power point than a video (the students will have to click
through the slides), but it is much easier to add sound to
and is very interactive.
