Pennants with bobblestitch letters

Yarn: Scheepjes – Catona from Favoritgarner.se

Materials: One pennant weighs about 15g.
Hook: 2,5mm
Measure: The straight upper edge of the pennant is about 14,5 cm and from the top edge
down to the tip it it 14 cm.

• Do you use any other yarn, use a smaller hook than recommended, to get better
stability in the pennant.
• When you usally crochet with bobblestitch the bubbles are only made every tow rows,
and then only singel crochets are made on the other row. To get the letters even, I
have chosen to make som of them with bubbles from the backside too. Think of
pulling together and popping out the bubble in the other direction as you make those
letters.
• In the chart, the white boxes are a singel crochet and the black boxes a bubblestitch.
• The pennants is crochet from the bottom and up, starting at the tip. Also the letters is
made from the bottom, starting in the lower right corner of the charts.

ch – chain

sc – singel crochet

bobblestitch – 5dc (double crochet) crochet together in the same stitch.

sl st – slip stitch

hdc – hlaf double crochet

1: ch2, 2sc in the first stitch, ch1.

2: 1sc, 2sc in the last stitch, ch1.

3-15: 1sc in all stitch except in the last there is done 2sc, ch1.

When you have finished row 15 you should have 16sc and 1 ch.

16: 5sc, CHART, 3sc, 2sc in the last stitch, ch1.

17-26: Continue in the same way as before with increasing - crochet 2sc - in the last stitch of
the row and crochet according to the diagram in the middle of the pennant.

27-30: 1sc in all stitch except in the last there is done 2dc, ch1.

Turn and make a row of singel crochet along the pennant´s three sides. Make three stitch in
the corners.

Edge

1: Start up in the left corner. 1sc in each stitch, three in the corner, end with 1sl st in the first
stitch of the row.

2: Only on the two long sides. 1hdc and 1sl st in each stitch.

I crochet together my pennants starting to chain 40, make doublel crochet over the upper
edge, chain one between the pennants and ene with chain 40.
