RECOMMENDATION REPORT – Oxygen Manifold Installation

A. Introduction

Allah Valley Medical Specialists’ Center Inc. is committed to offer quality healthcare services to
patients and is currently working on hospital expansions and improvements including the
Medical Gas Pipeline System for the supply of Medical Oxygen needs of the entire facility.

B. Purpose

The purpose of this report is to provide information and recommendation regarding the space
and location requirement needed by Oxytec Solutions Inc. to complete the installation of a major
component for the medical gas pipeline system particularly Medical Oxygen Gas Unit.

C. Evaluations and Recommendations

C.1 Space and Location for the Oxygen Gas Manifold Unit

C.1.1 Oxygen Gas Manifold System including Rack Assemblies

• Generally based on ISO Standards, a supply system with cylinders should be

installed in a well-ventilated and fire-resistant room that is specially constructed or
suitably modified. Alternatively, it may be installed in the open air, protected from
the weather, and the area fenced.

• Upon doing further inspection, we found out that the area under the ramp location
in the old building may not be that suitable due to the positioning of the
air-conditioning equipment of the adjacent room.

• We are recommending another suitable area location on the ground floor of the 3
storey building.

• Electrical Utility Outlet provision is requested as well for the power supply of the
Medical Gas Manifold Unit.

• For safety and security purposes, it is highly recommended that a steel bar
enclosure be fabricated at the entry and side portions of the proposed manifold
area. The enclosure should allow continuous flow of ambient air.

D. Summary

The recommended area that will possibly be used for the installation of medical gas manifold is
suitable. It will only require minimal retrofitting as well to accommodate the placement of the
manifold’s components and is near the main riser line. With all the mentioned considerations,
may this recommendation be approved.
