 IMPORTING THE PLANNER INTO GOODNOTES

(on the iPad)
When your purchase is completed you will receive an email with access to the download links. 



Once you tap on a download link and the file opens in the Safari browser (sometimes the file will look all black, this is ok)
you can tap on the top right corner of the page on the ‘Export’ or ‘Share’ icon and thens select ‘Open in GoodNotes’.





Some times when you tap on the file it automatically opens an app, and this is not necessarily the app you need. If this
happens you can also access the products in another way:



Once the file has been downloaded to your device you will be able to find it in your ‘Files’ app. You can always export into
GoodNotes (or other apps) from there. 



*The files that end in ‘GoodNotes.zip’ do NOT need to be unzipped, these are ready to be loaded into GoodNotes!



If you do not have GoodNotes as an option to export, scroll all the way to the right to where it says ‘more’ and click on the
three dots (…) just to make sure that its switch is turned green. If you still can’t find the app then close all your apps and
restart your device. If you still can’t find it I recommend saving to Dropbox first then grom GoodNotes clik on the ‘+’ sign
and select ‘Import’ - ‘Dropbox’…

 LINKS & TABS Monthly spreads Papers

Spiral: The top part of the spiral will take you to the yearly
calendar from any page, and the bottom part of the spiral takes

Calendar
you to the index, where you can see the labels of your blank
sections. The tabs on the right side of the planner will take you to
each of the blank sections.



On the top right corner of each page you will see some buttons.
These take you to: blank dotted, ruled, graph and all white pages.

Index
The button that says ‘Front’ will take you to the front desk and the
one that says ‘Back’ to the desk area at the end of the planner, you
can place the covers of the planner on these pages.



The tabs on the top of the planner will take you to each of the
months of the year.
 Extras


To access the weekly spreads locate the colorful bars on the left Spreads Front/Back

side of each week on the monthly spreads, those are actually links
that will take you to each of the weeks when you tap on them.


Blank Customizable Sections



The purple clip on the top right corner of the page goes to the
page where all the extra spreads are linked.


Weekly Spreads


On the desk pages 2 new buttons appear on the top right corner,
the first calendar icon will take you back to the yearly calendar and
the second button takes you back to the index of the blank
sections.
STICKER BOOK
You will receive the Color Sticker Book
with 613 stickers ready to be copied and
used on the pages of your planner! If you
are using GoodNotes, importing this
album is exactly the same process as
what you previously did to import your
planner.



The titles of each section of this album
are stickers that you can remove by
selecting with the Lasso Tool, tapping and
clicking on ‘delete’. 



If desired, use the pen tool to write out
your own titles on each section.

STICKER BOOK
Clicking on the spiral on any page of the sticker
book will take you to the index page, where you
will see the labels for each of the sections. You can
rename the sections and / or rearrange your
stickers! You can also duplicate any page to create
more room to add your own stickers.



Navigate the sections by either clicking on the
numbers on the index page or tapping on the tabs
at the top.



To use a sticker:

1.- Use the Lasso Tool to draw a small circle on the
sticker you would like to use. Tap once on the
circle you just created and select ‘copy’. 



2.- Go to the page where you would like to use the
sticker and tap anywhere to select ‘paste’. You can
now reposition it. Tap once more before
deselecting and select ‘Resize’ to adjust size.



*Note: if you long tap on a sticker and click on
‘Edit’ to resize or rotate, the sticker will grow
drastically and it will be hard to manage. Use the
Lasso Tool to resize instead. To rotate, first make
the sticker very small, then long tap and allow it to
grow, rotate, then readjust the size by using the
Lasso Tool. Check out this video for more info.
 UNZIPPING THE COMPRESSED FILE

& ADDING COVERS TO THE PLANNER
The .zip file included in your downloads is where the covers of the planner are saved. To access these, you will need to first
unzip this folder. I recommend the free app ‘iZip’ for this purpose. After downloading iZip from the App Store, follow the
next steps:





1- Click on the download link to get the file. Once you get to the preview page on the browser, tap on the top right corner
of the page on the ‘share’ icon and select ‘Copy to iZip’.





2- Click ‘Yes’ when asked: Would you like to extract all files? This will allow you to see all of the contents of the folder.





3- Once that the files have been extracted, locate the covers folder and tap on it to open.





4- Click on ‘All’ to select all the elements or pick the ones you want. Then click on ‘Save’ this will save those items to your
camera roll. 





5- Now you can import the freshly saved cover images onto your planner as you would any other sticker or image!
 NON GOODNOTES USERS
If you are using an app other than GoodNotes, you will need to use the PDF + PNG files provided.



1- Follow the steps described on the previous slide to unzip the compressed folders using iZip and save the PNGs (stickers to
your camera roll)



2- Load the sticker album into your app (the PDF version).

3- Open the sticker album and using split screen mode, you can tap and drag each of the stickers to the pages of the album, or
directly on the pages of your planner. Alternatiely you can ‘Copy’ each sticker from your Photos and ‘Paste’ them on the pages
of your album.
 GOODNOTES: COMMON ISSUES + FIXES
Issue: None of the links are working when I tap on them




Fix: Make sure that you have the ‘No Pen’ icon selected. This is the last icon on the top middle part of the page, next to the Lasso
Tool. The icon must be selected in order for the links to work, it will turn blue.


Issue: It won’t allow me to select a sticker, it only offers to ‘Take a Screenshot’




Fix: Tap twice on the Lasso Tool icon, and make sure that the option ‘Images’ is turned to green.


Issue: My handwriting turns into an alien language




Fix: You must have the ‘Perfect Shape’ icon selected. Just make sure that the icon with the square, circle and triangle on the top
left corner of the page is not blue. If it is, tap on it once to turn it off.


Issue: I would like to reposition the text on a widget, but both things get selected with the Lasso.




Fix: Tap on the lasso icon twice, and turn the ‘Images’ option to gray. When you are ready to select both Widget and text turn it
back on.


Issue: I placed my image on top of another but now it’s gone.





Fix: Don’t worry, the image (or sticker or widget) is still there, but it’s buried behind another. To get it back click on the ‘Undo’
arrow on the top right corner. Now select the image that you want on top and ‘cut’ and ‘paste’ it. This will place it on top of
everything else.
