‘Money Can Buy Happiness’

Hold on, think to yourself for a second about this question "Can Money Buy Happiness"? You’d
say "oh that's obvious I'd just give you some money and now we're best friends"! Not exactly,
just give me a moment of your time and I'll give you a better understanding of this question.
Happiness is a hard word to define. Everyone has different viewpoints on happiness from their
own past actions. People would say money can buy you happiness because with that money
you'd be able to afford those shoes you want or the trip you've been dying to take. Some say
money gives you strength, power, clout, and all other abilities, while on the other hand, some
disagree.
In my opinion, I do not believe money can buy external joy in our life. Money is a basic need in
our lives to purchase our everyday necessitates. Having tons of money could be used to
purchase fancy and expensive goods like brand names but the satisfaction would only be
limited. Besides, money cannot buy you emotions of love or joy. Money is needed for everyone,
but it can't buy everything like a past loved one, or general knowledge.
The way I like to believe is, happiness is not determined by how many commas are in your bank
account, it is who we are lucky enough to have in our life, and what we can leave them with.
Money can't buy you happiness even though it is thought to be one of the most powerful things
in the world because everyone aspires money, but yet money can't even buy us life-long
closeness with a friend, or even a caring family.
When you have an honest relationship with your friends, they'll be there for you, and stand by
your side no matter what happens, unlike though if you chose to buy your friends I can
guarantee they'll leave you as soon you lose your expensive goods. Last year in July the
Huffington Post did a study answering this question and they found, people with more money
tend to be better respected than those with less. However, I don't believe you need money in
order to be well respected. Also, the Founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates said "when you have
money in your hand, you forget who you are. But when you don't have money, everyone
forgets who you are".
In conclusion, I strongly believe that money could not bring eternal joy into our life because
purchasing goods will only result in a limited amount of satisfaction, it cannot buy you the
emotions or a past loved one and it also cannot purchase everything in the world to make your
life easier. If you don't, believe me, I would like for you to go out and attempt to purchase stuff
such as general knowledge, time, peace, or health. It is true money can make your life easier
money, for example, you can buy a fancy car to get you to places faster but an average car will
achieve the same thing, the only objective is, it may not be as pretty or fast but don't worry it'll
still achieve its ultimate goal and get you to your destination. Happiness cannot be bought by
money because life’s most valuable gifts cannot be bought with money, they have to be earned
such as friendship and love.
