1. REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATION DOCUMENT

1.1 INTRODUCTION

1.1.1 Introduction about the organization

This photo Gallery Web is a Startup Project. Currently there are many tour guide
operators working in Tigray and almost more than half percent of the visitors who
come to Tigray, use only google to know about the historical places. But there are
so many place that doesn’t found on google. So This Startup project group is
organized to solve so many problems in Tigray. Beacase so many peoples can
participate by sharing their photos in theire compaund they can be historical or
cultural photos.

1.1.2 Introduction about the project

The purpose of our project is to provide diffferent kinds of images of Tigray and
the basic locations in the different places that the travelers need to go after coming
to Tigray.

1.3 Purpose, scope

The scope of our project is mainly for peoples who want to know better about
Tigray. To promote tigray’s cultural and Historical places etc

Currently our project is covering Tigray, so only travelers who visit tigray, can use
the web application to know about the history of tigray and information about the
cities of tigray.

The main purpose of our project is to make life easy. There are also such
purposes:-

 For tourists planning a trip

  To Showcase Tigray places by pictures
 Introducing of cultural tourism of Tigray.
 Advertisements for hotels or organizations

1.4 Statement of the Problem

 There is no centralizing system for this matter.
 For New comers it is difficult to visit the city.
 There are no enough pictures about Tigray.
 The existing system is manual.

1.5 Objectives

1.5.1 General objective

The General Objectives of our project is to provide the basic places that the
travelers need to go after coming to Tigray. Besides, the project provides the users
concept of Tigray’s natural places and also cultural and traditional festivals.

1.5.2 Specific Objective

The project has various objectives. The major objectives are listed below:

 Enable users to see best pictures of Tigray.

 Provide list and description to the users to let them know where the place is.
 Make it easy to choose where to place to visit.
 Save time and effort in searching for culural and historical places.

2.1 Overview Of the existing System

There is no Specific photo Gallery for Moment Lanes Tigrayy.

2.2 Overview of the new System

Due to lack of Time, resource, budget our system will focus on those functions:-

 Enable users to see amazing tigrai’s photos.

 Provide a description about the place.

2.3 Constraints and Assumptions

Time factor, which is the greatest barrier or difficulty to the successful completion
of this exercise, financial constraints to traveling And also economical factor is
another factor and permission for exit to get materials and information’s for this
project are barriers.

3) Specific Requirements

3.1 Functional Requirements

The capabilities our project can perform are:

 The users will Register

 Administrator can add/delete events
 Administrator can update information’s
 Users can see nearby locations( Hotels, Attractive Places, Taxi stations,
cultural heritages etc)
3.2 Non-Functional Requirements
Non-functional requirement is a requirement that specifies criteria that can
be used to judge the operation of a system, rather than specific behaviors.
This includes:-
 Security:
 The system shall provide high level of security by blocking an
authorised user to view secured system page.
 Performance:
 For login to the software password and user name should be matched to
the password.
 There shall be various ways of retrieving data and it shall take less time.
 Usability
 The end user shall be able to access any page fast according to the
internet connection speed.
 Availability
 The availability of the software shall be for everyone who has an
internet connection.
 The system shall be available for 24 hours and 7 days a week.
 Correctness
 The results of the functions should be correct and accurate.
 Maintainability
 After the deployment of the project if any error occurs then it should
be easily maintained by the software developer.
 Portability
 The App shall work properly in any browsers
 Reusability
 The data and record that are saved shall be reused if needed.

 The system shall replace the existing system.

4. Methodology

4.1 Data Gathering

Gathering data is done by observation, Data analysis, interviews, and looking at
documents.

In our project we use the methodology observation. We try to collect information

by observing around Mekelle city to solve the problem of guiding tourists.
4.2 Approach
The purpose of this section is to highlight on the implementation environment of
the system. A top-down approach was used in structuring the program.

We use Object-oriented databases; which make the promise of reduced

maintenance, code reusability, real world modeling, and improved reliability and
flexibility.
