Warangal Additive Manufacturing About the Institute About the Department The National Institute of Technology Warangal The Department of Metallurgical and Materials (NITW), an Institute of National Importance Engineering (MME) was established in the year 1965 (formerly known as Regional Engineering College and presently offers an Undergraduate program in Warangal, RECW) was established in the year MME and two Postgraduate programs with 1959. The institute offers 8 undergraduate specialization in Industrial Metallurgy and Materials programmes in Engineering and 29 Postgraduate Technology. The department also offers Ph.D. programmes in Engineering and Sciences. All the program in cutting edge areas of technology in Departments of the institute conduct research metallurgical engineering and materials. The programmes leading to Ph.D. degrees. The institute department is well equipped with state-of-the-art was ranked 26 among engineering institutes all over facilities and has been accredited continuously by India and ranked 4 among all NITs by National NBA since several years. The department is in Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) approved active collaboration with organizations such as by MHRD, GoI, in the year 2019. The Institute is DMRL, ARCI, IGCAR, BARC, BHEL etc. Presently located on the Hyderabad- Warangal national the department is engaged with research projects highway at a distance of 3km from Kazipet railway received from DAE-BRNS, DRDO-NRB, ARDB, station and 12 km from Warangal railway station.
