Content Standards The learner demonstrates an understanding of:

1. How to manage an online ICT project for Social

Performance Standards The learners:

At the near end of the 2-week period, independently and


collaboratively co-manage an online ICT project for Social
Change through available tools, resources, and platforms.
Learning Competencies The learners:

1. Demonstrate how online ICT projects for Social


Change are uploaded, managed, and promoted for
maximum audience impact.
2. Generate a technical report interpreting data
analytics, e.g. Google, Facebook or similar traffic
data on the general aspects of search visibility, reach
and virality
Time Allotment 4 hours and 30 minutes / 270 minutes
Teaching Strategy Discussion, Oral Recitation, On-site research, Hands-on
Activity

LESSON OUTLINE

I- Introduction The instructor will call someone to lead the opening prayer,
greet the students, check them in regards to their personal
stuff last weekends, and after checking their state of mind,
and to make sure that their focus is in the class, there will be
a brief summary or recap of the last topic.

II- Motivation The instructor will conduct a pre-test to the students:

_______1. The My Sites tab in WordPress contains statistics


about your blog.

_______2. In your created Facebook page, a summary of the


statistics will appear on the left side of your cover photo.

_______3. Organic refers to the posts reached through paid

Facebook page contains summary of statistics relating to it.

_______5. The Likes tab under Insights to your Facebook


page contains the number of visits to your timeline.

Publishing an ICT Project:

Where to upload ICT projects?

There are different platforms to upload your ICT project:

- SocMed
- YouTube
- Change.org
- Blogs/CMS/Websites

WordPress – is a free and open-source content management


systems based on PHP and MySQL

File Manager – is an uploading tool web interface that


allows you to manage all your files. There are many file
managers present now.

Website Management – a website management platform is


an integrated set of tools that allows teams to create, design,
develop, launch, manage, administer, and monitor website
contents.

A Web Content Management System (WCMC) is a


Content Management System (CMS) specifically for web
content.

It provides website authoring, collaboration, and


administration tools that help users with little knowledge of
web programming languages or markup languages create
and manage website content.

Examples of Web Management Platforms:

1. WordPress
2. Drupal
3. Joomla
4. Wix

Promotion and Monitoring on ICT Project:

Website Promotion – is the process of increasing exposure


of a website to bring in visitors. Various techniques such as
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Web Content
Development are being used to increase website traffic.

To get more traffic and traction, you should not only be


good in writing/designing, but also good in promotion.

Here are several ways to gain traffic:

1. User Interactive Multimedia


2. Use Various Online Tools
3. Use Images
4. Use blog
5. Collaborative Online
6. Update
Traction Tools for Validation / Feedbacks:

LinkedIn – is a social networking site designed specifically


for the business community. The goal of the site is to allow
registered members to establish and document networks of
people they know and trust professionally.

AdWords (Google AdWords) – is an advertising service by


Google for businesses wanting to display ads on Google and
its advertising network.

Reddit – is an American social news aggregation, web


content rating, and discussion website. Registered members
submit content to the site such as links, text posts, and
images which are then voted up or down by other members.

Facebook Ads – are purchased on an auction basis, where


advertisers are charged based on other clicks, impressions or
actions.

Facebook Page Statistics:

Overview – contains the summary of statistics about your


page

Post Reach – give you more insights on which recent post


reached the most people.

Organic Reach – your posts seen through the page’s wall,


shared by users and newsfeed.

Paid Reach – posts seen through paid ads.

Post Clicks – number of click done to your posts.

Likes, Comments and Shares – actual interaction done by


your audience either through liking the post, commenting on
it, or sharing it on their walls.

Page Visits – contains data of the number of times your


page tabs are visited.

People – contains statistics about your audience’s


demographics. It also includes demographics about the
people you have reached and engaged with.

Demographics – refers to the statistics characterizing


human population usually divided by age, gender, income,
location and language.

Psychographics – is the study of personality, values,


opinions, attitudes, interests and lifestyles.

Psychographic Segmentation – involves dividing your


market into segments based upon different personality traits,
values, attitudes, interests and lifestyles of the consumers.

Updating Content and Maintaining Traffic:

Ways to update content and maintain traffic:


1. Update Contents Regularly
2. Update Links
3. Reply to Inquiries
4. Maintaining Your Site

Values Integration: We must utilize these tools wisely in


order to reach a bigger audience and maintain good
competition on other competitors.
IV- Practice Individual Activity: Analyzing Your Statistics

1. The class will be divided into 5-6 groups with 4-5


members.
2. Each group will discuss what advertising or
promotion they will create, and they will create a
Facebook page for it.
3. Once created, they will need to put a relevant content
that is associated with the idea that the group came
up.
4. The page will be decided for the number of likes and
shares at the end of the weekly session.
5. After they accumulate the number of likes, they will
discuss about their activity at the second week of the
session.

Rubrics for the activity:

Content: 40%
Teamwork: 30%
Overall Presentation: 30%
Total: 100%
V- Enrichment The instructor, then, will ask the students how they
understood the topic, the importance of the topic, and the
relevance of the topic in their daily lives.
VI- Evaluation At the end of the 2-week period, the instructor will ask the
students independently and collaboratively co-manage an
online ICT project for Social Change through available
tools, resources, and platforms.
