    This puppet represents the cosmic tree or sacred mountain.

    It marks the beginning and end of each performance,


    as well as breaks between the scenes.

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    1 Cut along the outer lines of the main shape.


    You may want to cut on the dotted lines
    and refine your puppet later.
    2 Fold the puppet to cut slits at the four gray lines.
    3 Color in with colored pencil.
    4 Put the dowel through all of the slit openings.
    Tape the top of the dowel if necessary.
    5 Try your Kayon on the shadow screen!
