Nigeria air conditioner market was valued USD 245.17 million in 2015, which is anticipated to reach USD XX million by 2025 owing to the
rising number of construction projects in residential and commercial markets. In 2015, the air conditioner market declined by 9% in
comparison to previous year. During 2014-16, some of the major projects were halted due to weak economic and political conditions.
Further, elections held in the year 2015 has also affected ongoing projects and investments in the country.
2018 onwards, Nigeria air conditioner market witnessed steady growth due to the sturdy construction industry. The government of
Nigeria with private and foreign investors has started to invest in several projects in areas such as residential, oil & gas, retail and public
transportation, thereby generating the demand for the air conditioner in the Nigerian market.

• The window air conditioner market has witnessed a steep decline during 2015-2019 and further also it is projected to have a downfall
through 2025 on account of changing the architectural design in new high rise apartments and commercial spaces. Few energy-efficient
mandatory norms have resulted in the windows air conditioners to have a price hike, leading to the negligible price difference between
windows and split ACs. This narrowing price gap have been translating into evolving preferences for customers, directly impacting their
purchase pattern with growing traction towards split air conditioners. Therefore, it is expected the market for window air conditioners
would experience a negative growth over the next 5 years.
