LET’S GET GROWING!

Welcome back to school!
I can’t wait to get to know each family in our classroom. I sure am as ready as
I’ve ever been to be back in the classroom! Each Monday I will send home a
newsletter just like this. I will feature important dates, skills we are building in
class, and homework. LET’S GET GROWING IN 2ND GRADE!!! WE are the
BRUMFIELD’S BLOOMS because together we will GROW all year long!

Good Job Cards

We have a “Classroom Economy”. Each day your child comes to school, he/she will
get a Good Job Card. Your child can earn Good Job Cards in our classroom for
good citizenship, being organized, excellent participation, and following
procedures. Your child is able to “purchase” items in the classroom on Fridays—
popsicles, Good Job Shop, fun pencils, pick your own classroom job, etc! It’s FUN to
earn Good Job Cards!!

Monthly Calendar
Please sign the date on your child’s calendar each night! It is on the BACK of the
folder! I will also try to include important dates on the calendar.

About Ms. Kelley Joe

I moved to Hattiesburg in 2011 and went to Southern Miss. I majored in elementary
education and minored in art. Over the summer I began graduate school at MSU—
go dawgs! When I’m not at school, you can find me doing homework and spending
time with my family. You can bet my darling dog, Lucy, is by my side. Over the past
few months I have really been enjoying my new hobby—running!
