Project in the Field of Digital Communication Networks: May-July 2005

Created a program for internet connectivity between two computers using TCP-IP/UDP protocol
and Socket Programming, and uses Multithreading .The program opens port on the computer
and waits for any messages from other computers running similar program. It can also send text
messages to that computer .The program was written in JAVA, and was done under the mentorship
of Dr. A.R.Harish, during the departmental summer camp.

Project Title: Sensor Networks and Data Stream, Management System: May-July 2005

We build a complete system which could cater to domains of sensors networks .The task could be
viewed as consisting of a front-end which comprises of a sensor network over wireless
communication channel. The back end consists of server which processes the data from sensors
and answers the queries based on them.
Was part of the team which developed the Data Stream Management System Presently I am
working to develop an “api” for the project using C++. The Project was done under the guidance of
Dr. B. Raman and Dr. K. Chebrolu

Project Title: Prediction and analysis of Cyclones and Rainfall using anomaly Data
Aug-Dec 2005
In this group project we analyzed the anomaly data of Sea Surface Temperature and Anomaly, Wind
Speed and Water vapor over the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea for past cyclones. Using MATLAB
and Microsoft .Net we derived equations relating the different Sea parameters and developed a
model for the prediction of Cyclones intensity in these regions. The project was supervised by Dr.
R.P Singh.

Other Projects:
Welding: Built a model of Railway Station using mild steel rods and flats as the raw material
Mechanical Lab Project: Built a working model of Seed Sower using mild steel rods, flats and sheet.

Industrial Exposure:
Visited companies like BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre), Hindustan Aeronautics
Limited, General Electric Research and Development centre, Doordarshan Kendre, Radio
Astronomy Centre etc during the Departmental trip organized in December 2005.

Selection in Reputed Indian Engineering examinations: IITJEE (rank 273), AIEEE (rank
1969), UPSEAT (rank 364).
