3. Reflection by facilitator (strengths and ways to improve the activities)

Positive aspects of the session : 1. Pupils were able to name and list out things in the classroom. They list
out the name of things in circle map. Later they wrote sentences using things in the classroom. These are
pens. This is a pen.
2.Group work helped them to find more things easily. When they presented their findings the other
groups collaboratively gave their comments. Beside that they also stated the locations of the things.
The books are in the bag.
3. Pupils sang a song entitle things in the class room. ( Youtube)

Suggestions to improve the session : Pupils write sentences on their own.


4. What resources did you use ? Online slides and games.

Were the resources used appropriate? Do explain with examples.

Yes, they were. Students enjoyed the online games (matching, guessing and puzzles)

What other resources / materials could have been used to enhance the activities ?

Group activities and presentations.

5. Meal served: What was served ? Fried noodles with chicken.

Was it according to the planned menu? Yes

Did the children enjoy the meal ? Yes they enjoyed the meal.

What else can be served ? These classes will be conducted in the afternoon so we will provide them
good meal.

6 Any other comment: to enhance the lesson / to encourage regular attendance etc.

Songs , games and language arts are important activities to make the students interested to learn
English.Group work will help the students to build leadership skills and to be co operative with other
members. That is why we will include these elements in their weekly lessons.

Positive aspects of the session : 1. Pupils sang a song entitle My House. ( Youtube)
2. Pupils learnt types of houses (bungalow, Kampung house, terraced house, flat, condominium, wooden
house, brick house, small house, big house). Name parts of house and things they can find in it. (Tree
map)
3.Pupils read out a story about Preety’s New House ( power point slides). Pupils write their own essay
about their house.

Did the children enjoy the meal ? Yes they enjoyed the meal.

reach meal.

Positive aspects of the session : 1. Pupils watched a cartoon about the two friends and a bear. ( Youtube)
2. Pupils read the story aloud. http://www.english-for-students.com/Two-Friends-and-The-Bear.html
Pupils talked about the story (characters, place, moral values). They created a mini pocket book.
3.Pupils wrote a simple essay about their best friends. ( 5 to 10 sentences) . Pupils acted the story.

Positive aspects of the session : 1. Pupils sang a song entitle colurs makes me happy. ( Youtube)
2. Pupils learnt 10 names of colours and different shapes. They draw pictures and wrote sentences
pertaining it. (This is an red apple.). They used shaped to draw pictures such as house and robots.
3.Pupils read text about colours. ( power point slides).
