2. They are educationally disadvantaged because of inadequate competencies. They are not

the DEPED same curriculum.

SCQ 1.4
Bilingual policy can give an academic advantage to our children. When young children have
more exposure to all languages at an early age, it can actually give them a distinct academic
advantage throughout life. Bilingual policy helps to remove international language barriers. There
are also cultural benefits to children learning two language together. The children knows other
language can teach other students to learn new language. Dual language programs show student,
and lead to greater opportunities for collaborative learning. It makes sense that language
boundaries should also come down and with the help from our k-12 education system.

1. It is important to master decoding skill s before becoming a fluent reader. It is important
for children to receive fluency instruction through a variety of strategies. When the
students are able to practice fluent reading. They become better readers.
2. Students can have difficulties on their studies. They will not be able to understand what is
being taught because they don’t know how to read.
