 Consultation Services : Consultant Office will Assist PMS to prepare the required Two Study Cases
 Documents Available: Jetty Drawings and Brief Scope without Metric Data
 Documents, Data and Drawings Required: Dredging Quantities East & West Sides , Soil Analyses ,
Equipment Loads and Sheet piles depth of penetration, Pile design capacity and pile achieved capacity after
driving.
 The Jetty Existing Situation: Jetty is currently receiving coke vessels with a capacity = 25,000 DWT

Required Jetty Modifications:

1. Dredging Work
a) Dredging work at the jetty southern east side in order to increase the jetty draft to match receiving
Panamex vessels with total capacity of 60,000 – 70,000 DWT
b) Dredging work at the jetty southern west side to increase the draft to – 13.6 m depth that enables the
jetty to receive 2 vessels 50,000 DWT on a time
2. Installation of Mechanical Equipment
a) New Ship Unloader Equipment 
b) new built conveyer

Required to be submitted :
It is required by the client that PMS to study the new loads results from the new modifications (dredging work + new
installation of mechanical equipment) and check if the existing derived jetty piles will be safe to hold the additional
loads or not? 

in the following two cases (every case to be studied separately):

a. The case of applying the dredging at the jetty east side only in addition to installation of mechanical
equipment.

b. The case of applying the dredging at both sides of the jetty (East and West side ) in addition to installation of
mechanical equipment.

The study should include a designed solution to increase the unsafe pile capacity (if any ).
