    Note:

    1) 150 mm slab is used for calculation of span capacities


    2) Failure in deck as composite slab in final stage is mainly governed by interaction failure. This is primarily due to high demand-capacity ration under negative bending moment.
    3) As depth of deck increases, flexural strength under hogging at support decreases due to reduction in depth of concrete.
    4) To increase the overall span capacity in final stage for deck as composite slab, overall depth of slab should be increased above 150 mm.
