* When you register the grade and class, you can construct the entire (for a grade & class)
student DATABASE.
1) If general mode for language lab operating system is operated, registration screen for grade
and class is shown.
2) registration
The screen(②) for grade & class management is shown by clicking the grade(class)
management(①).
First, register the grade. For a new grade assignment(⑨), click Add button(③), input
grade into the white box marked Grade Name(⑦) and click Save(④) button.
For a new class assignment(⑩), click Add button(⑤), input class name into the white box
marked Class Name(⑧) and click Save(⑥) button.

3) Assignment
The class list(⑫) registered in that grade is shown by clicking the grade in the
grade list(⑪).
After clicking the class(⑫), just click Go(⑭).
※ The number of grade can be set as 10 grades and the number of class can set 30 for a grade.
If the course of study is proceeding without grade & class registration, just click
Common Class(⑮).

Click the UP, DOWN button(①) to control the volume(default value is set as 0,
MUTE).

2. BASIC OPERATION
* Teacher can select a picture as textbook and broadcast it to both teacher's monitor
and student's monitor.
1) According to selecting mode(VCR, CD-ROM, scanner visual presenter, etc), the image
appears in the support window.
2) During starting the equipment, loading screen is shown and during output of image,
the screen shown up.

5) During self-study, the visual material info. that student is monitoring can be shown
on student information box and also the screen that student is monitoring can be
shown on monitor multi distributor(③).
6) Click CANCEL Icon(④) to exit.

1) Press Call Key to show the call state on the student seat.
2) To respond, double-click the Seat NO. and click the INTERCOM( ) icon.
3) When two or more student respond, click INTERCOM icon and click the student's
seat one by one(up to 3 students).
4) Teacher can ignore a call or initialize
the calling student by clicking
the Call VIEW(①) icon to switch
to the calling hide mode.

* The auto scan function is used to monitor the whole class automatically.
1) Click on the auto setting Icon(①). First, it proceeds per 5seconds by ascending order.

2) Listening a tape

* For student to read a sentence, teacher sets the length of pause time between the
sentence.
(1) Press『EDIT』button(①) to set the editing function and the color of edit "EDIT 1"
button and TIME is shown as red on LCD.
(2) By pressing 『Edit Time』button(②), the time is increased according to the length of
sentence. The length of pause time is shown as 1,2,3,4, on LCD.(Initial setting is 1)
(3) If the playback is started after setting pause time, the tape will pause and playback
after a sentence is repeated according to the set pause time.
(4) Press 『Edit』button(①) again to clear the set conditions.

5) Repeat Function
(1) Sentence Back To repeat a sentence that has just been played.
Press sentence back button『S/B』button(①) to listen a sentence once again that
has just been played during playback and display REPEAT as red on LCD.
If you press this button during stopping after playback, you can listen a sentence
(However, it is operated after playing one block. You cannot check the very short
sentence or block.)
(2) Repeat To listen to a sentence that has just been played repeatedly
Listen to a sentence that has just been played during the playback.
ⓐ Press 『REPEAT』button(②) to start recording setting and the color of REPEAT is
changed as red on LCD.
ⓑ Press 『REPEAT』button(②) to end recording setting and repeat the set interval.
The color of sentence time and IC TIME is red on LCD and the color of REPEAT is
to be red.
ⓒ To clear IC, press 『REPAET』button(②) or STOP(③).

6) Play a sentence
it is used to play a sentence from the tape and will automatically stop as soon as
the recorder finds a gap between sentences.

7) Bookmarks
This memorizes a desired tape position and would automatically search that
specified location on the tape.
(1) bookmark setting
If you press 『Bookmark』button(⑥) at the position that you want to memorize
during the tape play, it is memorized as bookmark 1 and the color of MEMO1 is
red on LCD.
A maximum number of 5 bookmarks is only available and it is memorized gradually
when you press the button.
(2) Find bookmark
By pressing bookmark number button (⑦) that you want to find, it will
re-position the tape of the desired bookmark number by rewinding of
fast-winding.
(3) Clear Bookmark
Press 『Reset』button(⑧).
All the MEMO and set bookmark number will be cleared.
* When playing a desired bookmark on tape, the selected bookmark will blink.
(only the recorder LCD)

8) Memory
To memory the desired position by using tape counter.
(1) Press the MEMO』button(①) at the position that you want to memorize to memorize the
tape counter and ⓜ mark will be red on LCD.
(2) Pressing the 『REWIND』 or 『Fast Forward』 button, find the memorized position.
It would halt on the memorized position.
(3) To clear memo, press 『RESET』 button(②) or 『Memo』button(①) again.

3) Execution
If you select the file to execute on the list(⑥) and click the Execution
button(①), application program of that file is executed.

3) Recording
(1) Click the record button( ) to start recording and blinking the Record
Icon( ) on the LCD.
(2) Click the Record button( ) again to stop recording and appear the dialog
box verifying whether the recorded contents is saved.
(3) Click the 'Yes' button. When you select the 'No', you cannot save the recorded
contents.
(4) The Save dialog box appear. When you fine the position to save and press the
Save button, recorded contents is saved as mp3.
4) Special Function
(1) Repeat ( )
- Repeat the start position and end position for 3 times and play continuously.
ⓐ Click the Repeat Icon( ) at the starting point of repeat during mp3
playback.
The Repeat Icon( ) is blinking on the LCD.
ⓑ If you click the Repeat Icon( ) at the ending point of repeat, the repeat
interval setting is done and repeat. The Repeat Icon( ) is to be active.
ⓒ If you cancel the function, just click the Repeat Icon( ) or Stop
Icon( ). If you click the Stop icon, the function is cleared and it stop
playing. But, if you click the Repeat icon, the function only is cleared.

(5) Bookmark( )
- the specific position is memorized during the mp3 playback.
- A maximum number of 5 bookmarks are only available.
- The number( ) are to be active on LCD panel by the memorized
sequence.
(6) 1~5( ~ )
- Playback from the memorized position as bookmark.
1) Equipment setting depends on the user's preference. You can select, set the environment
of equipment and the installer set the environment of it during construction.

5. LANGUAGE LAB MODE
* This arranges the class into pairs. The purpose of this function is for the class
to be able to perform conversational speech exercises.
1) Click on the Pair Study Icon (①). All seat arrangement number is changed.
2) Then, it arranges the class into pairs. Just click(②) any paired student to
select the two students and monitor their conversational speech exercise.
Click Intercom Icon(③)to be able to interact in their conversation.
3) You can see the selected group's student information by using the (①,②) button.
(only selected group's student)

5. LANGUAGE LAB MODE
4) Teacher can proceed with next group in order by selecting continuously to control
the class work.
At this stage, the previous formed group like A.B.C.D studying is cancelled
automatically and the pair study is re-set.
5) The form of group is not changed artificially.
6) In case of cancellation of monitoring function, teacher can use only Pair Cancel
Icon(④) and in case of the function itself for pair studying, use Cancel Icon(⑤).

1) Click Group-Of-Four-Study Icon(①). The station of seat No. is changed for all
student's seat.
2) Then, it arranges the class into group of four. Just click(②) any student of four
to select the four students and monitor their conversational speech exercise. Click
Intercom Icon(③)to be able to interact in their conversation.
3) You can see the selected group's student information by using the (①,②) button.

4) Teacher can proceed with next group on order by selecting continuously to control
the class work.

through conversation. Especially, it use round table for open education.
1) Click Group-Of-Four-Study Icon(①). The station of seat No. is changed for all
student's seat.
2) Then, it arranges the class into group of six. Just click(②) any student of six to
select the six students and monitor their conversational speech exercise. Click
Intercom Icon(③)to be able to interact in their conversation.
3) You can see the selected group's student information by using the (①,②) button.
(only selected group's student)
4) Teacher can proceed with next group on order by selecting continuously to control
the class work.
5) The form of group is not changed artificially.

* This mode allow the student to choose one from the text material that teacher can transmit.
1)With the available text sources (recorder 1.2, VCR1, CD-ROM, AUX. Etc),
click the Self Study Icon(①).

7. CONTROL MODE
* Control and set program such as setting of textbook, management of attendance, etc.
Click the CONTROL PROGRAM ⇒ ENVIRONMENT SETTING on menu and run.
1) Changing the Order of Textbook(①) : Teacher can change the order of teaching material
at his disposal.
If you set the teaching material as『material No.①』
which is used as main source,

7. CONTROL MODE
* Control the student's profile(name, picture, special contents) and student resource.
At this time, students must be seated by seat number.
1) Student's database is made for student & teacher's tie.
2) Click the CONTROL PROGRAM ⇒ STUDENT'S CONTROL ⇒ PERSONAL INFORMATION to run.
3) Student ID registration is the program for student control that consist of Basic,
Studying, and General and it is creating the D/B by the grade. The registered student 's
information is displayed on the Language Lab program and other control program.
4) Student ID
(1)Basic: Student number: Register by student's seat position.
Student name: Register the student's name.
Student's picture: Show the registered picture.
(2)Studying: Grammar understanding: evaluate the theoretical part.
Listening ability: evaluate by listening test result.
Ability to read: evaluate by paper test.
Weak Part: register the weak part.
(3)Other(General): Study attitude: Description of student's attitude toward the lesson.
Special article: write the useful information in process of class.
General article: write the personal information or the form of progress
of class during the study.
5) Add, modify and delete for student information
(1)Student's information modification: modify the registered student's information.

* The procedure allows the teacher to assign student numbers to belong to a specific 4
group. Classifying by score or student's test resource, it is efficient to study by group.
1) The group selection are from A to D. It colored by the different color and we can
know easily.

* The teacher can set the task to be carried out and the program will prompt the teacher upon
confirming the task submission automatically on the next study.
1) TASK REGISTRATION
Click the CONTROL PROGRAM ⇒ STUDENT'S CONTROL ⇒ TASK CONTROL to run.
Select the Add button(①). Select the desired date to be submitted, check the task name,
task contents, alarm, student, and Save(②).

* The score control is used to keep track of the students score depending on the actual
date an listening test has been performed. The analysis has to be entered by the
teacher and is stored in the database which can

* You can receive the message in the next study by writing the important things and
study process by month, date.
1) Click the CONTROL PROGRAM ⇒ STUDENT'S CONTROL ⇒ MEMO CONTROL and run.
2) Registration
After selecting the Add Button(①) and entering the date, memo, object, method,
save(②) it.
3) Modification
Select the memo to modify in the registered list and click the Modify button(③).
If you finish modifying, save(②) it.
4) Deletion
Select the memo to delete in the registered list and click the Delete button(④).

* Listening test is done by evaluating student's answer during a question and answer
session. Teacher use the master cassette or microphone as text and grade the
students according to their response time & their correct answer.

(3) If you cancel the monitor lock function, Monitor Control Per Group
use the monitor control window the Unlock or ( ) button at the pop-up
menu or monitor control window as above.

(2) In the 『Control PC selecting』, double-click the target student to enter the
student name selected in the "target - " box and press OK button to print the
student's screen to the full screen.
(3) If you transmit the control screen to other students, check the "Transmit
the control screen to student" option and select the target student to transmit.
Click the right mouse button regardless of selecting the seat number. If you select
the remote control at the pop-up menu, you can control easily. Alternatively, press
the ( ) button with pressing the seat number(student monitoring).

1) When you select the NETWORK TEST ⇒ TEST RUN on menu, appear the network test
tool in the screen window.(Password:2696-1435)
(2) If you press the View Mode button(②), you can see the sent/receive states of
communication data. At the same time, View mode button(②) is changed into
Test Mode button(①).

11. FILE TRANSMISSION PROGRAM
* File Server is the management program that transmit the file to use as textbook per
All, Personal, per group. File Server program select the CONTROL PROGRAM ⇒ FILE
TRANSMISSION on menu or click the ( ) button to run. The program consists of
the menu, Explorer window, student's list and file list window.

(1) Find
Enter all or parts of the file name in the input box.
(2) Search
Within the selected folder in the Explorer windows, search the file equal to
the entered search word. This is the same as the function of <File/ Folder
Search> in Windows.
(3) Add File
In the Explorer windows, add the selected file to transmission list.
(4) Delete File
Delete the file within the transmission list.
(5) Send
In the student list, send the file of transmission list to the selected
student, group.
(6) List Initialization
Initialize the student's list and transmission list information.
(7) Exit
Exit The File Server program.

2) Explorer window
In the left screen, folder structure of computer(Server) for teacher appear as tree
form. In the right screen, the files within the folder appear. Select the file to
add in the list by mouse in the right window.

* It is the program that control the additional amplifier installed in the PC for
student and manage the information for study.

(1) Press [Conversion] button to select the WAV file to convert in the Explore
window and press the [Open].
(2) In the [Save as], enter the file name, set the location to save MP3 file to
convert, and press the [Save] button.
(3) If the message window appears indicating that the file conversion is done,
press the [OK].
※ MP3 file conversion is available in the WAV file form only currently.
