Women safety

Now-a-days in India women safety is very important. Today if we talk about women safety then the
women’s are no longer that safe which was in the earlier time. According to the National Crime
Records Bureau(NCRB) 2103 annual report,24923 rape cases were reported across India in 2012.

Women safety doesn’t only include safety of women it also includes the right of women everywhere;
whether it was related to home or society. Now many Indians do not deny from conversations
related to eve-teasing, sexual assaults and rapes. Even the common man’s conversation on the
streets often steer towards the escalated and horrendous attacks on women. An overbearing
concern each of us ha towards the women in our families has lent a sense of urgency to our dialogue
on the critical and pressing issue of women’s safety.
What women can do to be safe?
There are some quick-fixes that women can keep handy. While a change in society and intervention
by authorities will take time, it’s best to stay alert and prepared by ourselves. As a society if we can
work together and take responsibilities for the stark reality we live in today, things will change.
As thinking upon this serious issue some measures should be:-
 Women should be provided with a toll-free number which will directly contact to nearest
police station.
 For rape criminals there should be direct death statement.
 As a society we have to improve ourselves and thinking of any women in the right way.

Acceptance is half the battle won. Raising our voice has to be the next step. Let’s keep the
pressure alive and let’s vow to end this despairing situation so women can walk free and in a civil
and crime-free India.
